    Maybe I'm out of the loop, but I haven't seen a decent response to SCO's last court filing about what linux lines violate their IP rights. I'm SURE one has been written by now. Anyone have a link?

    The comments are longer on the sco side than they are on the linux side. Think about that.

    If I was copying a comment, I wouldn't strip pieces out.

    BUT

    I may very well add some more info in.

    To me, this just suggests that sco copied from linux.

    Here's my guess at unreasonable:

    1) Trying to copy them to any other device except those running MS operating systems.

    2) Trying to copy directly to a non drm format.

    3) Copying to more than X number of cd's, where x >=0 and x = 1

    4) Trying to use any software to burn to a cd not expressely approved.

    5) Trying to use any hardware to burn to a cd not expressely approved.

    6) Copying after attempting to get any tech support for any failed uses.

    Being a Governor in california may give you the possibility for soem unique control over technical jobs and the tendency to outsource those. Also, I would imagine a governership could eventually lead to a congressional seat.

    That being said, what would you do to help stem the tide of hi tech jobs leaving our country as Governor, and what would you try to do if you were eventually elected to congress?

    If this employee working for SCO worked on the kernel... he was improving GPL software. They then distributed that software... BAMN.. gpl... no questions askes. SCO may own the copyright, but they released it under the GPL.

    bah ... AOL could easily get that extra 12-14mb pre-installed on machines... and can easily ship it on all those CD's that go out.

    An argument for AOL to use mozilla, is that they can ship it without license worries. Someone running win95 gets the same AOL expierience as someone running Win2k3
