Nuclear Information
Generation IV reactors are horribly efficient, even the lest efficient CANDU's use about 8 to 10KG of fuel / day, most reactors are designed to used unprocessed fuel (U238 or Enriched Blackshale) or fuel that requires very little development, the nice thing about the new designs is that they all use light water or liquid sodium.
Simply use a USB Hard Drive and Ship it to your destination or use the following line:
The National Secrets act prevents me from displaying the contents of my USB encrypted hard drive to Border officials due to your lack in clearance, Are you Secret or Higher?
(Unless the border officall is Cleared to the Highest level which is unresaonable, they would not legally check your portable hard-drive without incidient) if they ask what you are doing with "Sensitive" information, you tell them that your clients are the Military, NSA whomever.
There's a pecking order in every government, the grey area is around the civil service.
Hey, this might be the first instance where a cup holder on a computer for coffee is warranted, in fact with this technology we could get super computing and coffee in the same place:D
In companies under 100 people that I've worked with it's the norm to allow a degree or three of freedom, regardless of client talent or knowledge, it's human nature.
In companies larger than that, security policies, backup, DR and acceptable use agreements are in place that limit what is and is not acceptable computer use.
As to a lot of the questions below (under this one) I have only three statements:
1. Backup
2. Role based administration (SSO)
3. Centralize Distribution / Authorization Of Applications (including custom imaging and packaging). This can be done with software or by scripts alone, it's really only hard in the beginning but once a good frmework is in place it's easy to adminsiter and consistent.
Those three things will prevent most any issue and require relatively little administrative overhead. Packaging and Imaging in a company with divers hardware requirements may be time consuming (could require two full time employees possibly four) however there are a Myriad of suppliers and software that will accomplish this from Novell, Microsoft, Symantec and others.
In large organizations Consistency is more important then depth.
According to Canadian Privacy Law, it can be argued that communications from your computer are private and inspection of the packet inside the packet from the network layer up is a violation of your private communication; as such to inspect it is actually a violation of privacy law regardless of the purpose, Bell needs a bigger pipe and they need to stop overselling their bandwidth, for some parts they lease from Teleglobe, however no one organization has tested this theory in court yet, should it reach the supreme court it will probably be ruled in favor of the individual thanks to our relatively sane socialist court.
A number of modern "Terrorists" once used swiss accounts, the two that come to mind are Fidel Castro and Yassir Arafat, having these accounts did allow them to foster their own anti-American agenda, however calling every foreign revolutionary a Terrorist and going after them is not a good idea from a foreign relations perspective Washington was considered a Terrorist by the British; imagine if they had frozen the money France lent him to fund the revolution?
However for real tax evasion the U.S. should really look closer to home, the IRS has agents in the following countries to track investment from American citizens. Belize, Bermuda, Caymen Islands, St. Kitts & Nevis and Panama are just a few British protectorates that offer limited partnerships (LLP's), Incorporations, And cooperations that have Legal recourse under the British privy council but have no reporting requirements with regards to profit on foreign investment, for the small to medium sized account (10,000 to 500,000) these are the ideal places that Shell companies are setup by American's for Insurance (Bermuda), Registration of Offshore investment firms is a multi-trillion dollar business, since investment Vehicles within in these places do not have to pay capitol gains or income taxes. Countries looking to foster a good banking industry usually modify their tax laws to become a "Tax Haven", since U.S. Tax law only applies to the individual with regards to Global income, foreign trusts, incorporations and limited partnerships have always been methods to avoid these taxes legally, the price to profit ratio for each varies but lies around $20,000USD.
The founding fathers meant "land of the free" as in free from British Taxation, however since central planning was implemented and a number of wars were financed taxes have become a national requirement, thus making the United States a less competitive country to invest from.
We want our money(tm) (C'mon it's only 6 billion) and if you don't pay we'll stop sending attractive hybrid native-french actors down to breed with Californians to produce super hot offspring. (Mrs. Jolie is a 5 in Montreal)
That and we will start to ignore our fresh water treaties:) since your drying up the aquifers, and we may ignore our power treaties, and our oil treaties, hey we could argue that NAFTA is just a piece of outdated paper too, then a good 25% of your population would go without water, light and heat, but we are Canadian and like a good little retarded cousin we'll share because we haven't yet made china our largest trading partner.
It may be cold, the healthcare is relativly free and our people are hardy; chances are you like poutine you just haven't tried it yet.
Should that ever happen you'd invade and we'd burn down the white house again. (it's the reason it's painted white you know)
Now Those are just some places to start, however: if you look here you'll get an idea
Finding a good vendor independent list that does not use adjectives, you know something with metrics on how many viri in the database, how fast does is scan files? How much Memory does it take up? all of these are becoming more and more difficult to find. AV software is supposed to do one thing, scan files, match them to heuristics and if they match the sig, move it to a sandbox or blow it away. Security is an evolving battlefield, polymorphisms brought way to new methods of infection and a few worms bounced about, then heuristics got better, now they rely on stupidity of which there will always be an ample supply.
The emerging middle class in China, the area that is poised to make China the worlds next superpower (tm), depends heavily on the American consumer. Since the military in China requires a strong economy, as is the case with the United States or any country for that matter, the Chinese may attempt to attack the united states federal sector however they would be shooting them selfs in the hand.
Globalization from the democratic standpoint of the individual consumer in an effort to thwart inflation looks for the lowest cost labor, currently it's in the asia pacicific reigon with skilled industry in china. To prove this statement simply look at the computer sitting in front of you, chances are the motherboard / PCB elements of most if not all of the electronics in your home are from China, if not them then the components of which they are made are manufactured there.
Since the current head of the party is a pro economic reform guy looking to empower his people with financial freedom, why would he endorse attacks against his best client?
Chances are the Russian Business Federation, the people responsible for various bot-nets / vigra spam would have made it look like the Chinese were doing it.
I'd love to see the articles that you developed that argument from.
It's times like this I'm glad Canada has a crap load of brightly lit fiber so I can seed to all you nice anti-RIAA people in the us with a super node or two.:D
Although, if this continues the fallout may lobby our government, and to be frank they are easily bought.
And soon it will be getting hair in weird places and the bootup sound will be at least 1 octave lower than it used to be, and it may start drinking and smoking.
Doesn't matter I'm buying neither they are both ultra portable however a 13.3 Dell XPS is a bit thicker may shock me due to construction and only costs about a grand less then either of the two with comparable specifications.
once you get the windows open you now have a vantage point at 30,000 feet, rapid de-pressurization to strike fear into your co passengers and a vehicle traveling at 350+ KM/h your target won't know what hit them, then again getting a firing solution might be a problem.
Yes but the improbability of the chips ever being correct about a simple math instruction may cause programmers to take on various Grand Unified Theroy stances that aren't really needed for simple multiplication, and how do you make quantum dot's impervious to static? or solar wind for that matter?
That being said, there have been a number of Earthquakes undersea lately.
Here's an Accurate Description of what's going on. Linkey
I love how all the conspiracy theroists are here on/. Paranoia is good for systems administration, and bad for foreign policy.
It's a nice idea and maybe the GCC is getting a clear cut message, however the internet is a U.S. invention, sadly pandora's box cannot be closed.
Well, This is what I do for a living for the federal canadian governemnt and private sectors here in canada, I'd love to help out your company however how much money is this costing them and how good was business last year?
First off we'd have to define your companies standards vis a vis the policies and determine if we could get managerial sign off on all the required changes.
Then we propose design changes based upon our findings and implement a test and pilot project of said changes, based upon intial client feed back and support issues that arise we revise and further clarify the design and specifacation documents.
Then based upon the pilot project we implemented the entire kit and caboodle in a phased approrach throguhout your entire company.
I estimate the required time for this project dependant upon your company size and team involved would take about two years (you mentioned you have 100 Point's of Presence), however your mialage may vary. I could throw together a team of crack network people that would be able to do this however they are NOT CHEAP, each of us charges well over $100 / hr and we are all independant consultants that do this kind of thing every billable day of the year. If you are interested I'll forward you my C.V. and you may present it to your CTO. I deal with C-level project managers and 3rd / 5th level NOC / Operations groups, no one below that level usually talks to me unless I am interviewing them for standards and general peeves they experece during thier 1st tier tech reporting job.
Now the other way to skin the cat is to spend 100 million and get OC-48 to every office instead of your crappy T1's that you were sold.
Also I'd adivse you to get rid of that crappy supply partner if they didn't conduct metrics and preformance based testing that your employees were not involved in and just shoved a project down your C-level's throat that looked really good finanaically and had no prior implementation or testing on your companies scale.
There are two sayings in my business that come to light all the time:
If you can't be part of the solution there's tons of money to be made selling the work around.
All time is billable time:D
Blame Canada - Our reserves are bigger.
Should Google Go Nuclear Actually using Dr. Bussards Plans it's more like 5 to 10 years.

*cough* it's an industry standard practice *cough*
With an ever increasing amount of information on the battle field, how would you limit risk when Murphy's law is not functioning in your favour?
Hey, this might be the first instance where a cup holder on a computer for coffee is warranted, in fact with this technology we could get super computing and coffee in the same place :D

Will it cross the monkey barrier? Did the population of rabbits increase more or less due to the caffine?
