Being a professional programmer is similar to being a janitor in one respect: You spend a lot of time dealing with somebody else's shit, and it stinks.
Some kids will become good and responsible coders, but not all kids. Some will be artists, musicians, mechanics, farmers, etc., and for the rest of the world that doesn't code, a heavy responsibility is placed on the FOSS community to do code reviews.
And some will also write for TV and movies. If they know how to code, they'll have no excuse for some of the really shitty depictions of computers and hacking we've seen on TV and in film before.:)
Most of the general public can't tell a compiler from a Cuisinart. We can eventually fix this by teaching kids to code, which has the additional benefit of showing them that their feelings don't matter to anybody else.
If Infosys is in fact guilty of discriminating against American workers by refusing to hire American workers for American jobs, then such malfeasance should be punished by confiscation of all of Infosys assets located in the United States, and by banning Infosys or any subsidiary of Infosys from operating on American soil.
Unfortunately, we can't just kill Infosys because they are a foreign corporation based in India. But we can damn well kick them out, and we probably should.
Tried that once I realized that the end-game content for asuras was the same bullshit all the time. Being a mere human is something of a demotion, no matter what the Buddhists tell you.
I just got to LV36 in RealLife, and let me tell you something: once you get to LV18 and out of the final mandatory tutorial zone (high school), the game is nothing but a grind. And all the spells got nerfed centuries ago. I'm supposed to have Agidyne, Bufudyne, Ziodyne, Diarahan, and Megidolaon. None of 'em work. This game's defective, and I want my money back.
Hognoxious, would nationalization fix the broken corporate culture that led to the takeover in the first place? I doubt it. Better to kill the corporation and put it out of our misery like we used to do in the 19th century.
With the money we'll take from GlaxoSmithKline by dissolving the corporation and confiscating its assets, we can give them all at least five years' worth of severance pay.
This sort of malfeasance on GlaxoSmithKline's part merits the corporate death penalty. Dissolve the corporation, confiscate its physical assets to pay for the cleanup and any medical expenses that arise as a result of the spill, and release its copyrights and patents into the public domain.
It starred Hugh Jackman and Kate Beckinsale, and it sucked so badly that Uwe Boll renounced his director's credit and Konami forced Universal Studios to change the name to Van Helsing.

I hope you told them it was DOS on steroids instead of being a condescending prat. :)
Take a look at our governments and corporations. At least half of 'em are run by sociopaths.

.45 ACP! Apply directly to the forehead!

After all, the people who blame victims are just begging for a bullet to the head.
Hi, I work with Nerv, and I'd to hear more about your angel-killing keyboard. How do you manage to pierce their AT fields by typing?
It's time to make peer-to-peer mesh networking a viable technology.

Considering that most people have enough trouble governing themselves, I'm not convinced that letting people govern other people is ever a good idea.
In other words, you think the guys you like should be in charge.
If sodomy results in pregnancy, you're doing it wrong.

The new Sabaton album is more my style.
And they wouldn't recognize heavy metal if it fell from the sky and crushed them. Fuck that shit.

You mean the USA isn't Israel's lackey?
You mean the USA doesn't have any reptiles living on its territory? No snakes, lizards, etc?
I don't care what other nations call the USA. I'm a New Yorker, not an "American". Manhattan uber alles!
It would be easy for the government to kill Microsoft. Just revoke its corporate charter, and nationalize its assets under eminent domain.
Free enterprise based on small business, you dolt.
As far as I'm concerned, monotheism is the real curse of the pharaoh. But making martyrs out of at least four billion people isn't going to help.
Let's just get rid of corporations. They've been a plague ever since the age of mercantilism.
