  1. Re:All kidding aside on Pentagon Orders Dual-Focus Contact Lens Prototypes · · Score: 1

I think the hitpoint meter is just the beginning. Look at all the data we're used to seeing on our periphery in video games. Cash amount, inventory, contact lists, scrolling maps. Add to that the alerts we're used to seeing at the top of our smart phones for new emails, text messages, IMs, alarm settings, battery life. Roll all stuff up in a useful discreet package on our periphery and, while at first it will seem like information overload, we'll just get used to seeing it as background noise and wonder how we ever lived without it.

Because I work in a secure facility, where cellphones, cameras, and anything that transmits are banned. If someone videotaped them, the one with the videocamera would be fired immediately. I guess because I am used to working in this kind of environment, I hadn't thought of this being a problem.

Being on the phone does not magically make one safe.

We know the victim had no weapon.

Did Zimmernan at the time? In any case, eyewtinesses said they saw Treyvon beating up Zimmerman. Treyvon was a young 6' 3" muscular basketball player. Zimmerman is 5'9", 250lbs, so unlikely to be able to run away. Police confirm Zimmerman had a broken nose. If I was getting beat up by someone who could run me down if I tried to run away, and I had a gun, I would shoot.

No one is saying he isn't responsible for his actions. They're going to review the use of the drug as a whole, and it's about time. Everyone I know who's gone (I'm a defense contractor, and many of my coworkers have gone to AFG) have had bad reactions to the drug and stopped taking it. Typical stories include violent horrible dreams every night until they stop taking it. Do you think they SHOULDN'T review the use of the drug, given its known side effects?
