  10. Because who else has a Porsche running an American V8?

Trust me, American V8's aren't that cool to a Porsche or Audi nut. From Wikipedia:

The first motorcar in the world to have an engine with two overhead camshafts and four valves per cylinder was the 1912 Peugeot L76 Grand Prix race car designed by Ernest Henry.

My latest-gen all-aluminum General Motors V8 (with direct injection, variable valve-timing and cylinder deactivation)? It's a fucking pushrod engine with two valves per cylinder, which has been largely obsolete for how long?

Even Ford finally abandoned the pushrod engine...

  11. These were some interesting swaps that were occasionally done back in the day:

    Volvo 740 with Ford 302 (or 351C)

    Porsche 914 with Chevy 350

    Porsche 924/944 with Buick Grand National 3.8liter twin-turbo V6

    Audi 200 with Chevy 454

  12. Too small of an engine compartment and more importantly, you'd kill one of the Miata's biggest strengths which is its excellent front-to-rear weight distribution. Better to go with a smaller engine and turbo the shit out of it...

  13. It's not due to weight: I run an aluminum smallblock V8 from GM and I bet it's at least as heavy as any flat-six ever made by Porsche; the iron block V8's that most modders are likely to use are even heavier.

  14. but I can't fathom why

Usually because Force equals Mass times Acceleration.

We've done a lot of bad shit and yet somehow this is proving to be one of the darker chapters of our nation's history.

We've also done a lot of stupid shit such as falling farther and farther into debt (the "we" being the American people, not some abstract concept of "the nation"). For decades, we've gotten fuck all in the way of solutions and suggestions; globalist-interests continued to milk the situation (monetizing the race to the bottom and ensuring they're holding all the cards when there're no other players left) while their shills assured us that everything was fine.

Of course they've gotten loud and shrill.

  20. China isn't bothering anyone

I guess Bhutan and India don't count. How about Tibet? I don't care how long it's been; they don't belong. And rounding-up Uyghurs (and likely others) so you can harvest their organs? I don't even have words for that one... at least they're not eating 'em (I probably shouldn't give them any ideas; we've already got to watch our dogs).

Oh, and they're enthusiastically gearing-up to greatly increase their nation-bothering ability.

Let's face it: western interests sold out Taiwan in '79 (in return for equipping China to start fucking us) and they've gotten the wrong idea in their heads.
