Couldn't we just dump all our trash into volcanoes? Also, we could put some kind of air filter at the top of the volcano to capture the toxic fumes that result from burning trash.
There must be some reason why this wouldn't work, or we'd be doing it by now.
I'm confused. The article makes it sound like this lets you call someone else's Google Voice number using any SIP client, but it doesn't help you make or receive calls if you have Google Voice?
Here is what I'm trying to do. I have an Android phone and Google Voice. I get poor cell phone reception at my house, so I would like to be able to use Wifi on my phone to make, and more importantly, receive calls.
There was one created by some ex-Google employees a couple years ago, I think it was called Cuil. Going to www.cuil.com times out for me, so I guess it wasn't a success.
I remember trying it a couple times, but I just haven't been able to find another search engine that is good with error messages and technical keywords.
I was "well trained, ready to go" right out of college, no thanks to my formal education. My degree is merely something that makes employers think I know what I'm doing. My time playing around with stuff is why I actually know what I'm doing.
If I'm looking for a company's web site, I usually just go to company.com (.org for non-profits), or if that doesn't work, I Google it. So I'm not sure how adding more TLDs would be helpful.
I use Gnome, because most of the programs I use tend to work better in it. I'm a bit compulsive with making things look the way they should.
KDE is, IMO, a knockoff of Windows (though I haven't used it much since 4.0 came out).
Gnome is also like Windows, but with a few things that make it more Mac-like. I can figure out both of them, but for me, Gnome "just works" and has fewer bugs.
We are taught in our church (as it is written in the Bible) that "no one will know the hour" when Christ returns.
There have been world wars, famines, diseases, and all kinds of disasters in the last 2000 years that have wiped out millions of people. Who says it won't happen again, before Jesus returns?
Jesus also told us to help the poor and pray for those who persecute you. He spent his time on Earth with tax collectors and sinners, and was the most critical of the establishment (Pharisees and Sadducees).
I remember reading somewhere (might've been a story Slashdot covered), about someone successfully getting an SSL Cert signed by a registrar somewhere in the world, that they shouldn't have had, which allowed them to impersonate some site.
A drunk driver could just as easily hit a brain surgeon and kill him.

So it will get delayed until December 29, 2012?
I think he meant to say Pentium 133 - but even then, 16MB was standard.
Unless he meant 4MB of video RAM?
Don't forget S3 Virge! THE card for playing 3D video games!
They should use 127.0.0.1 for fake IP addresses. (Which, incidentally, has lots of vulnerabilities and is easy to hack.)

Does this make that possible?
You'd have a point if Adobe charged for Flash player.
So you want businesses to pay more people the same amount of money to do the same amount of work?
Good luck with that.
Which makes it all the more amazing that Google has a ~90% share.

I need more money, and I want to be in a relationship.
Problem solved!

Plus if you set your DNS to 8.8.8.8 they'll know everywhere you go on the internet.

You might be on to something there. Men hate being told what to do, or that they can't do something because it's dangerous.
For women, however, it's a familiar concept.

Unfortunately, I think you are right. 95% of home users won't notice, and so anyone who is currently set up with a dynamic IP address will be NATed.
They'll probably start with the most basic tiers and work their way up, until it becomes so much of a PITA that IPv6 is easier.
I am an evangelical Christian.

How big is your TV? I can see 480p being fine if your screen is 30 inches or less.

I think it was here.
Windows really *is* a virus!
Ah!
No. Viruses are:
-Small
-Free
-Well-written
A lot of the construction jobs have shifted from the private sector to government jobs. I see road construction *all the time* now.
Obama has pledged to raise capital gains taxes. Do you think anyone will want to buy stocks if the Democrats stay in power?
