But are you mistaking Tandy's DeskMate for Desqview? DeskMate was Tandy's whole desktop environment, the whole yellow-on-blue-by-default thing that let you type/draw/etc. Basically kind of an office suite that ran on a 286, it was pretty cool at the time.
That's so damn true.. very recently I finally got Wine to launch reliably and play HL: CS (turns out that for a year or two I just had one bad TTF that fucked everything to hell).
As a result, I haven't had to boot into windows in over a week, and I'm not deprived of my CounterStrike!
BUT supposedly M$ loses about 100 bucks for every bought console. Of course, xboxes are not built when you order, they're mass produced beforehand. So, if you do'nt buy the xbox at all, M$ loses how much? $100 + retail cost of xbox ($300?).
