In Denmark, there is AFAIK exactly one place to buy a laptop without an OS installed, and that manufacturer has had significant problems with delivery of purchased laptops. And the feature is easily missed, if you don't know that the option is there.
The wording in the Danish version of the EULA is slightly different. Translated to English it reads
By using the software, you accept these terms. If you do not accept the terms, you do not have the right to use the software. Instead, contact the manufacturer or installer to get information on how you get a refund for the purchase or credit nota.
This can interpreted as giving the user the right to return Windows, without returning the entire computer. Similar cases have been taken to court in Italy and France (against HP and Acer, respectively), where both vendors were ordered to pay a refund for Windows.
if (is.opera)

window.location.href="config/error.htm";
}
And someone sent this on a server for Opera? I marvel at the stupidity of the developer for that niceness, as well as the hardware vendor for not testing their software before shipping.
Its some 10 years since I read that passage. I just reread it, and as you said, the myth goes that Thomas wanted to put his fingers into the holes and that Jesus invited him to. However, in my (online) translation it does not say if the wounds were healed, nor if Thomas actually tried to put his finger into them.
If I'm not very much mistaken, resurrection includes healing damage, such as holes through the hands. According to the scriptures of said belief, the Jewish zombie still had the holes.
If you ever watched Return of the Living Dead III, the newly dead even acted human for a few days...
Either way, it does not exactly inspire confidence or trust in the corporation or their product. And when you are dealing with a security product, confidence and trust are essential.
We should also address the major reason for the growing demand for energy. That reason is overpopulation. However, no American politician has the guts to touch that topic. It is too closely tied to illegal immigration.
Overpopulation in North-East US, Western Europe and Japan is not due to immigration. Most of the people living there are breed and born there. The major reason for growing demand for energy is not overpopulation - it is technological development. In the West as well as in the developing world.
Except, off cause, that the study were referenced wrong in the press releases. From TFA:
Oh, but the figures were wrong: it was actually 473m items and £12bn (so the item value was still £25) but the wrong figures were in the original executive summary, and the press release. They changed them quietly, after the errors were pointed out by a BBC journalist.
When asked why they did not take steps to notify journalists of the error, they first tried to avoid answering, but they
...explained something about how they couldn't be held responsible for lazy journalism, then, bizarrely, after 10 minutes, tried to tell me retrospectively that the call was off the record,
I feel much the same... some 80 % of the games I own were bought some years after they came out. This is partly due to price, but also because I seldom buy games that are a year or so newer than my hardware. This gives me the nice benefit of cheap(er), patched games that run smooth on my computer.
Just this day, a spaceship landed and from it walked an army of Bill Gates-drones. Each of them were a part of a large, but simple plan: Find a computer, hack a slashdot account, and good-mouth everything MS. However, some of them adabted to this brave new world, and wrote their praise with reluctance to veil their plans from the *nix'ers... but they are out there, and if you get in their way
Some time back, a Danish bank blocked the access of 8.000 internet bank users, as the bank could link their computers to ip adresses that might be infected by a trojan. They suspected that the trojan could be used to get access to the bank accounts of the 8.000 users. Thus, they sent (snail)mail to the customers in question that told them that they had to reinstall Windows before they could do their banking online again.
You don't have to use the cheat mods;-) In my latest Oblivion game I used ~70 mods. Installing Oblivion, patches, mods, utilities and getting mods to work together could take half a day, but compared to the 100s of hours of fun ahead, I felt that it was worth it. Hell, I don't think I could go back to playing it unmodded - with a better UI, overhaul mods, and gameplay mods the game just became so much more to my liking.
9. General slowness: just compare load times between e.g. OpenOffice and Microsoft Office. If you don't like this example, try running OpenOffice in Windows and in Linux. In the latter case it will be much slower.
On my dualbooted rig, OOo starts and reacts much faster on Ubuntu 9.04 than on Win XP (even with resident virus shield turned off on Win XP). Also, the startup time (from pressing the "On" button to having opened Firefox) is approximately x2 faster when booting Ubuntu compared with Win XP. But that doesn't mean that the poster does not have a point: Pointing out the reasons Linux is not a choice for many is a good first step to doing something about it. Some points are:
4. It should be possible to configure everything via GUI which is still not a case for too many situations and operations.

5. Problems stemming from low linux popularity and open source nature:
5.1 Few software titles, inability to run familiar Windows software. (Some applications (which don't work in Wine) have zero Linux equivalents).

5.2 No games. Full stop. Cedega and Wine offer very incomplete support.
5.3 Incomplete or unstable drivers for some hardware. Problems setting up some hardware (like sound cards or TV tuners/Web Cameras).
I don't know if he can sue, but under the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, which France has ratified, it is illegal to discriminate someone because of their political views.
But it will look soooo nice!
Just wondering ...
How exactly does one promote "capitalism" as in the free and unfettered enterprise of individuals ... while eliminating individualism.
I suppose that you never heard of Augusto Pinochét? On September 11th 1973 he lead a bloody coup against the elected government of Chile and started a bloody oppression of the Chilean people while liberalising trade to allow the rich and powerful to become even more rich and powerful. At the time he got a lot of support by famous monetarists, such as Milton Friedman, who conveniently ignored his atrocities.
Bat OS?

So, basicly, you want Atheists to have a degree in Christian theology? Why should that be needed for someone to realize that religion is an illusion?
You are forgetting IE8 ;-)

Possibly because it is a good question?

They do sound very trustworthy!

Same thing in Denmark (just South of Norway), except that most customers are male.

If you are still playing (and are on PC), you could install the unofficial Fallout 3 patch - I think it comes with patches for the DLCs as well.
I think that OpenOffice can export a document as a tex-file. The export is not perfect, but it does a decent job.
