    your right but lets look at the what we know: 1. AMD APU (ryzen based) is coming 2. XBOX one and PS4 family's should be strong between Nov. and Jan 3. Ryzen 2 next year still using socket AM4 and Current Motherboards (I hope) 4. there is some teething issues that still need to be addressed but AMD is working hard on them (this really the 1st new socket from 2011 ish) 5. Intel has really dropped the ball in 2017 around there hole CPU Lineup 6. Nvida is not looking like they will move to there next GPU till mid to late 2018 7. Mining.

    I have a Ryzen 1700x (so basically half of a theadripper) and overall it's good and stable but there are some issues still around -Ram it seems the memory controller is vary sensitive -VMWare ESXi (i think a lot of it is fixed but there is always room for improvement.) things i would like AMD to really work on for the next socket for desktop systems: -4 channel ram - more PCI-E Lanes off the chipset - better public documentation (it was unknown until a AMD Blog post that the X line of cpu's had a 20 degree offset so they read high in the UEFI but also would have a much more aggressive fan response based off that reading.

  4. as "unplublic" as trump there is no way the logs of any of his servers would be accessible to computer scientist and i would not truest a packet sniffer on the public internet even if it was the next hop off of tumps private LAN. so this story seems fishy and people not call it out is odd two.

    there should not be a way, at boot level that is effectively a root kit at that point google can't truest you or your phone so it must be wiped from a outside known good source i guess.

  9. html and xml Broken? really? come on both are really solid for what they are built for (reconstruction of a website on a client computer) mine you they where never designed to be secure but thought other tech (ssl and certs) it was able to live with in a security minded world. but i am also excluding plugin's like flash and java.

    Basically the idea of freedom in the o.s. Is dead because we build Linux as programmers not thinking about ease of use or support, we tree and split the code base between every flavor of Linux yet the code is tied to a disbusion then we fight over every little stupid thing unless there is agreement Linux is a failure as a network admin I want a turn key system that I plug a IP address in do some basic tranning with my staff and logs everything so I can watch it as it works away addressing things as they come up and is supported by staff of the product.

    "The Law" does not apply because a law is only effective if you have someone who can dispense punishment or gives the "fear of god" to the person who is willing to test the limits (parent v.s. child) but in this case who is the "boss" of the "government" people may say that the general public is the "boss" but the public only has the ability to forfeit power every 2 to 4 years depending on the "post" held by the "offical" and there are even "untouchable" staff that are not elected so they fear nothing really... so in truth that's why the government has the ability to do what it wants also the courts are really a reactive "clean up the mess" after the fact and has no direct effect on who is "in power" (they can't be removed from power by the court). am i even close to the right train of thought?

  13. System D sounds like it's was a stop gap fix for a old issue that everyone liked so much they jest kept it... except for for 3 files (Autoexec.bat,config.sys command.com dos can have any number of files added or removed to set it up the way you want it... why can't linux do that?

    AMD really it was about tightening up communication's between the C.P.U. and ram by having the Memory controller on die (L2 Cache level of the 2nd core of the am2 athlon x2 processor but it must have been there before that because of the single core processors before dull core became a thing.) so it could effect amd computers back to 2005 ish. does that even sound right?

    not really, what your really talking about is "doing the right thing". what i mean is that a short cut would be to connect everything to a network and basically brake the security of the Air Gap, also your idea may fail because the VM software will have to do Time Sharing with the limited cores of your laptop. witch at time may make some vm machines look like they are Frozen. and also Even Ram maybe a issue two. but good luck anyways.

    I would not ether unless I had a tech support call about a x showing up when the guy pressed the r key... This really about ASCII codes. The person who created it thinks 1. NSA is focued on U.S. keyboards (as it is the English standered each key is mapped to a ASCII code so if you mix up those codes and send all your e-mail in HTML where the codes are mapped to the letters then your safe 2. NSA is so big and working on so many streams of info that the amount of work it would take to create a single system to work on the font that few will use its pointless. (apple effect for hackers) Also NSA is looking most likely for keywords this will not set off any of those.

    honestly the idea of linux is perfect but how it's done is completely bad... when it comes down to it... really linux is a hack job between everyone who is programing for it. we need a central force to unify all the distro's and get them under one tent... kernal,gnu... all the little peaces of Linux . honestly if i am reading the tea leaves right Valve software is thinking that way... every time we have a fight in the linux world we "tree" off and split the community's to a point now that each group hates each other and will not work with each other for the betterment of Linux. are values are the same but we using different ways to get there and we are fighting to be come the "leader" of linux the gold slandered distro. and who is winning this war? Microsoft and apple, that's another mess Apple using Free BSD as there tool to destroy All of linux and with are free tools like apachi... we should fight Apple harder then anyone else. in 2 to 5 years Valve software's linux will be Boss and it's because all there dev. will be in house, well tested and clean, no more comand line for common taskes. set top boxes and standered hardware for most. that's how i see it. and microsoft will still be the big fish in the sea.

    i do a lot with music and i been playing around with rack based sound gear and i see a lot of old stuff like: the shure PSM 900 the antenna uses BNC connector, also have a Tube Pre Amp the tubes are from like what the 40's? (even to old for me to admit the full history) and things like TRS cables and XLR been around forever. don't even get me started on cisco they still have a console port that uses a rollover cable and a db- 9 (com port) on the other end... so you new network admin's better spring for that db-9 to usb adapter. even like x86,tcp/ip and ect. are still in use... net admins learn about the history in one class and use it the next.

    R.I.P. AMD and see you latter ATI i remeber when AMD/NVIDA was perfect with the nvidia chipset and the video and amd doing the prossor. now AMD is a company that is almost dead. :(
