If Microsoft would put a TV tuner in a revamped XBox360, that would be a killer gadget. Bing to search. wireless keyboard for hotmail and surfing. videochat via MS's chat client. XBox Live integration. Come on guys... get it together.
If we could monetize recycling in space, we'd clear that area up in quick order. maybe once private space flight and delivery takes off, someone will find a way to gather, break down, and recycle all the (otherwise very expensive) stuff up there.
you sir have no clue what you are talking about, do you?
iPhone4 drops calls at a rate of (iphone3GS+1)/100
iPhone 3GS is also an Apple product
Apple and ATT are, now, offering a 30 days full refund. If you bought it somewhere else (say... Best Buy) - good luck with that.
Every phone does lose signal... to some extend. The iPhone4 is "Defective by Design" - meaning it makes the problem that much larger by placing the antena on the outside.
so... I take it you're one of those "i don't care" people, huh? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FL7yD-0pqZg&feature=player_embedded
probably.
but the point of the article in the economist is not open source vs public domain. It's whether a government should legislate the morality of synth-bio. And their point is that even if it should attempt to, any limitations on research should be minimal. The open source analogy is a little weak, but the idea is certainly commendable.
What the writer meant to say is that people who suffer from depression are more likely to spend a lot of time on the internet. The idea that it is unclear if people suffering from depression are drawn to the internet is a cop-out on their part (i.e. oh, we need more money to study this). There have been lots of studies to show that people suffering from depression are more likely to turn inward, and seek to escape their reality via different means (alcohol abuse in the past - internet addiction now).
Hope they can get it to have multi-touch, at least in the "euro" version we could all purchase via the internet. And I would not mind one running WinMo7 if that think ever comes out (maybe they're waiting for Duke Nukem Forever).
I'm sure ISPs such as Comcast will find another reason to suggest they need in interfere with network management. just give them a little bit of time to put their heads together with the guys at RIAA.
What's the matter, a little too highbrow for Windows fanbois?
now, now... no need to insult windows fanboys. maybe that was a fun of the play who did not appreciate it being used in association with the aforementioned OS
yeah... that freaking line is so old - just wait for SP1. businesses might, or at least some businesses might. I know the place I work at has no intention of going to Win7 anytime soon. But to say that you run the risk of loosing your data when you upgrade? back your data the fuck up. and plus, who does an in place upgrade anyway?! that's begging problems.
CCleaner does a pretty good job. Spyboy S&D... eh, seems like a resource hog to me... but maybe I just don't like shit running in the background. But the point is valid - know what you delete! (on the other hand, unless you do a reg clear on a regular basis, you'll have dozens of entries to check in google.)
a decent antivirus (and paying attention to what you do) should protect you from crap
just when the hackers were getting ready to focus their efforts on the iPhone and Apple, there you go again, throwing down the gauntlet. Are you that much of an attention hog?
i find google wave rather annoying. maybe because too few of my friends are on it, maybe because it's a whole new way of "emailing." maybe because it's not meant as a communication tool but rather as a collaboration tool. Either way, I don't see it replacing email anytime soon. or ever.
al gore invented the internet, al gore will disconnect your ass if you're not careful. He still has the master key, you know. and the only map to the innertubes that shows the secret layer location of both steve jobs and bill gates.
EFF suggested that the author would have a strong fair use/political commentary case. He did not seek to make a profit of the image, so I don't see how that could be looked at as copyright infringement.

footnote missing. comment will be deleted.
even if we all live 1000 years, getting to that planet will be incredibly long and boring.

he also predicted, in one of his early articles, that "countries go to war if they think they can win." Score 1 for predictive theories.
maybe. or maybe it's a rehash of the 1960s Red Guards. either way, just as bad.

classic example of PEBKAC.
I'll take $100.000. /end "cheap whore" statement.

so you're a fat bastard who doesn't give a rat's ass about what other people want as long as you get yours. what a surprise!

well, there it is. I will have to buy it. I always thought Marge was rather sexy (when she let her hair down that is).

he did not add the word socialism to the picture. someone else did, after removing the "Time" cover. they still did not identify who did that.
