Light RAM? Are you saying the current RAM we have is heavy? Currently 512 MB is only 50g. Light HDDs would be nice though. Light (heavy duty Li-Ion) batteries would be brilliant!
Hold the broken rules, substitute profits for females, open source community for fraternity, and Darl for Dean Wormer.
Otter: Ladies and gentlemen, I'll be brief. The issue here is not whether we broke a few rules or took a few liberties with our profit party guests -- we did. But you can't hold a whole open source community responsible for the actions of a few sick, perverted individuals. For if you do, then shouldn't we blame the whole open source community system? And if the whole open source community system is guilty, then isn't this an indictment of our educational institutions in general? I put it to you... isn't this an indictment of our entire American society? Well, you can do what you want to us, but we're not going to sit here and listen to you badmouth the United States of America!
If that damn capitalism didn't wipe out DEC, and the next gen alpha was developed, it would have blasted all those other CPUs. Alphas always were the best. I shed a tear every day for the murder and slaughter of Alpha.
You radical! My main server is a Celery 300. Yes, 300! Well, I have it 50% overclocked, at 450MHz. Yes, it's running at 150% of its capability, for over 2 years now! And all with the standard fan with which it came. Of course it helps that it's one of the early Celeries of which the bus was clocked at 66MHz out of the box, but actually capable of 100MHz, no problem.
I remember that the mobo is capable of handeling an 800MHz processor. At the time that seemed like an awesome upgrade path. And now where am I going to find 0.8GHz CPUs? The bin?
[..] without protection, American companies would unfairly lose technology advantages to companies in other countries [..]
Meaning that 'Merican companies need looking after, shielding them from the rest of the evil world to keep all advantages 'Merican, because otherwise non-'merican companies would go steamrolling over 'merican companies and crush them with innovation and technological breakthroughs?
She doesn't need anything else. The minor problem here is that she is on a tight budget. She last bought a computer 3 years ago (an Athlon 550, which works decently), but still uses the 14" monitor that she got with her first computer (a 486 DX/2 66).
So I'm thinking a cheap eMac. The problem will be convincing her to spend over 1000 euros.
Another nasty virus. Of course I personally am not worried one bit, since I don't run any MS software on any of my computers, but my mother's business depends on Windows. She uses Word and Finale for her music ventures. However she also uses Outlook for her mail.
Is now a good time to upgrade to OS X? I would like this, since it would allow for better remote administration for when her system goes "loopy". Or should I just make her use Mozilla for mail?
Ferrari would keep a registry with the licensees, along with DNA of the licensee. So in order for it to be legitimate you would have to have the same DNA as your friend, so in order to have a good copy of the license you'd have to have the same DNA, and be the same person.
Instead, why just not rob your friend? And why does he have a Ferrari in the first place? What's with your social circle? Does Ashcroft know?... Hey, this is/.! We don't have social circles around here! You must be a terrorist!
Ferraris are not IP, so you could copy it freely. However, this would devaluate all Ferraris and would be frowned upon by the company. Ferrari Inc. would then copyright the design of the car and include a license with your friend's Ferrari.
By this time it will not be possible to buy a Ferrari, but only to license a copy. Therefore official Ferrari licenses will be a hot commodity for the wealthy and they will slap licenses on the car windows, the cars however will not become their property.
Of course thieves will see this trend and nab the licenses out of the Ferrari, instead of the car itself, which will be worthless.
Hence you could copy a Ferrari, but what good would it do you, as it wouldn't be yours anyway.
Please take a look at a Maglev. Notice how it wraps around the track? It is extremely unlikely for one of these suckers to derail, and physically impossible for these things to crash into each other.
I for one welcome our Maglev overlords. At 581kph it should limit my 43 minute train time to school to roughly 8 minutes. Cross country? At most 30.
Sometimes, yes. A few of my friends don't run IM, and a few of my other friends decide it's time to contact them, and we all get CCd, of course after a few minutes, a select subgroup of the gang who are always online starts replying. And then replying to each other. And thanks to mutt are able to completely saturate each other's pipes and spamassassins.
That's easy to counter. Just take a pen and swap 'N' with 'S' and 'S' with 'N'. (A complete reversal would be easy for anyone to detect.) Now, if they drove some trucks when huge electromagnets, then you'd be screwed.
Use pkill instead.
Hmmmm.. Thinking... EUREKA! I will patent my idea of fecal matter hitting a rotary gaseous matter acceleration device! Brilliant!

Are you sure it isn't a maroon alert?
Oi! Shouldn't you be working?!

The pricing info is here.
Did they have any vending machines? Like coke for example?
Hah! My eldest is a 486/DX-2 66MHz (with a whopping 8MB RAM). Currently serves as a bridge.
*cough cough*

Or is it e? or c? or h?
Don't worry, I've got a secret stash to avoid drying up overnight!
Share and enjoy!

I prefer sitting anyway.

The company which you referred to is Thales, formerly known as Holland Signaal. They make some impressive systems.
"Can you because do things don't just."?
