RMS would be amazing as he is only interested in software.. he would anhialate the patent and copyright system and then do nothing for the next 4 years. The problem with govenments is that a huge body of people has no other job than make more things illegal and fiddle with regulation, if everyone just chilled and didn't mess with the law apart from when needed or to correct some of the worse mistakes we would be alot better off. How about a new law that for every law you make you must remove one?

Why land on a planet with a thick atnosphere like earth using thrusters causing you to have to waste spcae and launch weight on alot of propelant. I understand that this thing is also meant to land on the moon so requires some landing thrusters (no atnosphere) but the moon has a mere fraction of the earths gravitic attraction and so if the capsuale use parachutes aswell as thrusters there would still be a weight saving. Even probes that land on mars usualy use parachutes aswell as thrusters even though it has a much lower density atnosphere than earth.

In linux I can wright a simple program that grants the other program specific permision to access the paralllel port so only at install time does anything have to be run as root and dosen't involve any .Dll's or hackery.

It only leads to a large unsustainable population and greater suffering. Sure short term disaster relief and teaching people about birth controll and good farming helps people in africa. Also as the above posters have pointed out the charity is a tax dodge. The problem with RMS is that he is almost always right and yet gets mis represented due to the contriversy of his statments. He also has good reason to hate gates.
