If going with the i7-920 is it better to go with 1066MHz ram or 1300Mhz? I plan to overclock the chip since lots of people have had great success with air cooling.
Fair enough. I bought the original long ago and have it still. I was looking forward to playing through it again, except on the source engine and then I saw that Valve wanted $10 for it, with no new models or textures.:(
Since I have plenty of other games to keep me busy I'm patiently waiting for Black Mesa.
The problem with Raid 5 is that the more drives you have the higher probability you have that more than one drive dies. That's why you have multiple raid 5 arrays of 4 disks maximum instead of one array of 7 disks.

Yes, the ads have been pretty terrible the past few years. Instead of people commenting on a specific ad they will just tell me there weren't any good ones. I think the problem is that the ads are more hyped up that the game itself. I haven't seen an ad that matches the awesome of the Terry Tate Reebook clip.
Disaster? I had people who know next to nothing about computers or Microsoft talk to me about the ad. That seems like a pretty good ad to me. I can't remember the last time someone asked me if I had seen an ad.

They just annoy the rest of us who change the channel whenever one of their terrible commercials come on. At least they are even with Microsoft on this point.:D
Who wish I could disable text messages on my phone. I wish I could activate a feature so when someone sends me a text message I don't see it and they get a response telling them to just call me.

And you won't be missing much. At least from my experience with Halo PC. The library level was a nice repetitive borefest.
