It's cheaper to run data over cellphone then over landline (for the carrier) because wire and right of ways are expensive while radio waves just use electricity. The massive price inversion is called profit margin.
They speed up the last mile of the network, but leave the rest with whatever is already installed. It means they can sell super speed internet that actually only delivers 2 Mb/s speeds on average. If you are trying to maximize net quarters results and don't care about the long term this is the smart move. If you are a shareholder you'd want to fire the board of directors at the company, as this prevents the company from selling more bandwidth and reduces customer satisfaction.
The biggest lie: voting third party is throwing your vote away. In reality, if the two parties see lots of votes going third party they will change their platform to get those votes.
you will have difficulty finding any record company that has never knowingly committed copyright infringement. I wonder how they will feel about going to jail? Oh wait, this only covers people not corporations.
You can't die from above freezing temperatures. It takes prolonged exposure to freezing temp to use up all available energy reserves. You can starve to death from insufficient food for the temp though. (I've done winter survival training in -35 and 4 feet of snow).
Corporations are dedicated to making money, the public is getting upset over spying and will soon vote with their money to avoid it, being seen to protect privacy will protect their revenue stream.
The Government has decided that objects have no rights, so they can convict your money of crimes to take it away from you and you don't get a trial. They can spy on your data held by others, since others have no right to privacy over your data.
If you can update the OS to run arbitrary code without the owner of the phone doing anything, then you can just disable the password entirely. It looks like remote software updating renders ALL security measures worthless.
Apple can release a software update that blocks this universal key. Simply requiring you to log into your phone before it will install software updates would suffice. Having the passcode software programmed into the CPU where it can't be altered would make newer phones immune to this attack.
Court orders take precedence over contracts. Contracts to break the law are not binding. Entering into an agreement, for the purpose of breaking the law, is conspiracy.
By the time they finish training, the only thing they will be able to ride in will be the vomit commit. No space station, no space shuttle, no orion, no moon base, no mars base. Maybe China is hiring.
This is a perfect chance for the NSA to prove they actually do something to protect America. People making bomb threats (Terrorists!), for money (new espresso maker), lots of good publicity, and they already have a world wide network monitoring the internet.
Oh they have actual plans, and if they had the money they could probably make it work too. Lets hope the Chinese hackers can manage to convince the upper brass to actually execute the plan after they steal the technology to make it happen.
Facebook France can have one set of rules, everyone else can have another, and those "special" rules can be enforced at the border to prevent cross border issues. Corporations are fully able to limit content by region, netflix does it every day.
Using energy from windmills to power the process in a remote location (arctic etc) is cheaper than flying in gas. Using energy from the nuclear reactor of an aircraft carrier to produce jet fuel while at sea would save a lot of money/risk on transporting fuel. Using this tech to make fuel at a military base in a dangerous place (Afghanistan etc) would reduce the need for supply convoys, and save lives.
I can see why the natives would be upset, having been invaded and subjugated by the US army and their land taken. Not sure how that affects building telescopes though.

The inmates at Gitmo would disagree with you.

They are using the laser instead of radar to track the target, the laser isn't strong enough to melt it.

Is the Government required to pay you for your time? Or is this slavery?
How is Obama's corporate welfare handout to Republicans (Obamacare) in any way connected to police over-reach?

You would make your point better if you didn't mistakenly suggest that a Far right politician like Obama is Socialist.
Taking apart the chips layer by layer has worked elsewhere. Sounds expensive, did the judge authorize Apple to get paid for this?
Bio-metric security is like writing your password on your shirt.

And the son pays property tax on it. If they want Intellectual Property to be forever, then let them pay taxes on it.
Copyright should be a fixed term, not based on the authors lifespan. Why should the works of a child be more valuable than those of an old man?
