  1. Ground based lasers are much cheaper, can be hidden, and can wipe out your orbital lasers before you even know you're under attack. They can also shoot down incoming cruise missiles and short range balistic missiles as well as ICBM's. Putting weapons in orbit is a disadvantage.

  2. A quick add when you're distracted would essentially be subliminal advertising. It could then transition into elevator music style adds, just something in the background you don't really notice.

There is no practical difference (actions speak louder than words) between Democrat and Republican. A small but well financed group of Republican supporting "Democrats" (Pelosi, Hillary, Obama etc) has taken control of the party and ensures that ONLY the Republican Agenda sees the light of day. The sole purpose of the Democrat party is to bottle up the progressives and socialists and prevent them from having a voice in American Federal Politics.

  8. Clean Coal means you burn coal but capture the CO2. The reason it's not in use is disposing of the captured CO2 is more expensive than dumping it into the air. It's also more expensive than the sale price of the energy generated.

Hillary's problem is she's a right wing politician pushing a Republican agenda. If you must choose between 2 essentially identical political parties, you choose the one that is most effective in delivering their agenda. Not being able (willing) to pass Healthcare for All when they had a supermajority proves the Democrats incompetent.

Preventative healthcare is the key to a long life. Stopping stuff early keeps it from killing you suddenly or having permanent effects. People with poor healthcare (or limited access because of cost) tend to skimp on preventative healthcare, with corresponding effects on life expectancy. Why does the country with the most expensive healthcare on earth have the worst healthcare in the G20? Because dying patients are good for business.
