    AGP stands for adcanced GRAPHIC bus. that's all it was designed for, and since almost all new vid cards are coming out on AGP, and the nature of the AGP bus means that there can only be one slot, there goes anything but vid cards in AGP. I haven't looked in any real large scale server boxes in awhile, is there any "upgrade" to PCI?

    I agree. and I hate the blue haired religious old ladies that think that athiests are devil worshipers and that we want to bring down all religion. Athiests don't believe in a god or satan. True atheists don't give a damn about religion at all, that includes not caring whether the word god is in the constitution or not. sheesh

    that and the fact that they could probably check your ISP server logs. "yes that particular message was sent as somebody checked their mail" so somebody would have had to recieved it. Two people that it can only hurt yourself lying too:pigs(cops) and a judge.

    Interesting, but judging by the picture, it's not entirely flat, so it will be more of a counter-top appliance, rather than a knee-top.

    If you are refering to the part behind the actual pad, i think that's just the cradle, life for a palm...could be wrong though :-/

    Yahoo has nobody on it(that i know personally anyways), MSN: not ever in linux. We're stuck. Most of the people hung on to using ICQ because everybody was on it, but we refused to use AOHELL messanger because of the whole ad thing. If this goes through I'm giving up instant messaging forever.

    I have mandreake 7.1 on my Thinkpad a20 (dual boot w/ win 95). Everthing works perfectly except the modem(given, but who cares, I have cable now) and the sound, which seems to play in slow motion(even the timer on xmms runs slower).

    I only installed it to see if it could be done, and I never expected to keep it there. Now i use it more than windoze except for listening to mp3s or haveing to work in VB for skewl.

    I think it entirely depends on the person (CmdrTaco, Hemos, etc) that gets to the story first. So, say, Hemos may have gotten your story and though it was not worth posting, and then CmdrTaco would have gotten another one from some other dewd and decided it was worth posting.

    I can't tell you how many of my submissions have been rejected only to be later posted a day or two later. >:-(

    Of course it must! :-) If we don't put it somewhere how can it be compare it to anything else? If we put it in a direct category we can more-so show that windows is dominating less and less(hopefully).

    Could it be that finnaly a company will show that UNIX(even if only in the basic sense with OS X), or even linux, CAN POSSIBLY make an exellent desktop enviroment.

    What category do we put OS X under whenever somebody divides who holds desktop market share. Does this fall uner Apple's OSes or UNIX?

    THe laws is most western countries are that a plane MUST be almost completely dissassempled and checked part by part for defectiveness(is that a word?) ever few months. That is why air travel is as safe as it is. So this equipment would probably be added during it's regular cycle.

    But then where did Mirabilis get all thier money for ICQ before it was bought by AOHell? ICQ was the first real IM and for years it stood by itself. sure, now it may run off of AOL servers but where did they get the money to spend on those before?

    Did mirabilis have some other revenue stream? i'm just ASKING, i'm not flaiming..

    Why sell 100M/sec for ~$20 a month into the home when you can sell it for ~$200 a month to a business.

    What would you prefer, selling 100M/sec to 20,000 homes for $20/month or selling to 50 businesses (i'm asumming that in rez areas there would be few businesses needed fast internet if any internet at all ei. mini-mart, clothing store, etc) in the same area for $200/month? the real money is to the average house.

    why spend $400 for a P3 800 when we can spend $250 FOR A p3 600 and just o/c it? Now I'm not sure if these prices are correct, but i'm just using it as an example. If you can save money becuase you know a little more about computers, why wouldn't you do it?

    Really, have you SEEN some of the subs the russians are still USING? I wouldn't go within 5 miles of a ruskie sub base(radiation) let alone in or UNDERWATER in one. I just pray that the pictures of the rusting a keeling subs i see on CNN have at LEAST had thier reactors taken out. those russian sailers have either got a LOT of guts, no brians or a little from collumn A and a little from collumn B.
