I read most of the comments so if one of you did mention this.. redundancy eat my karma.
How many generations would it take before evolution kicks in and discards the gene because glowing in the dark does no good when hiding from natural predators?

Unfortunately those kind of people are not here to read your post or any other that might, just might, unveil the lack of privacy they're actually swimming into. I've helped friends in the past recover from serious issues (instant restart as soon as the mouse cursor appears onscreen, right after the boot logo disappears) and sometimes more than once, so I'm afraid that even if they did read about other people's PCs being "shattered" some, in their arrogance (or ignorance, pick one) wouldn't take any extra measures to protect their privacy.
(but I do like it when they call the bank, from some fancy restaurant, asking what happened to their credit. "Well sir, remember that Solstice you bought last week?", "Sols'what?")
i know this may be redundant (see "back to the future" comment) but still any idea why the video is dated 20 april 2009? Or are we that far behind here in eastern europe?
Actually it's like this (i use the headset because of this feature only): single click - play/pause double click - next song triple click - repeat (and if at beginning of song [~5 sec] then it's previous song)
well.. it's linux you're talking about. Linux and server are often met in the same sentece so people have no problem when hearing: "Your Linux has X server problems and needs reconfiguration." But the second they hear "Your File sharing Server service is disabled and you need to enable it" for windows they go like "wait; what? server?!? on my win-machine??"
you got it wrong. It's all about the butterfly. In your case that would be: If a butterfly flaps its wings in Mozambique and a tornado starts in Canada and causes so much damage that the Prime Minister of Canada has a "heartburn"... you get the general idea. see? butterfly, wingflap, tornado. essential stuff
Why don't we just throw all our crap in the outer space? We are already testing shuttles that go out and come back. Why not just put the "garbage bag" on it and tell it to throw the bag out in the space then come back for more? It will most certainly end on some planet in our system. Who knows.. Maybe some bacteria will survive and life may evolve where we wouldn't even think possible.
Just like now Opera is trying to get IE out of Windows hoping users will choose Opera when they realize that they want to browse the Internet, as soon as MS puts AV solution in Windows, other AV co's will flip their ass around the Earth and sue MS for antitrust tactics.
Of course they went to Windows: Clicking Torpedo and then the enemy's battleship on a screen is much more efficient than typing "attack --weapon torpedo --count 2 --coords 42394799879x3179478912" and then waiting for the result in "tail -f/var/log/messages"
flamebait or not but that's what causes the "problems" in the first place: numbers!
Back in the XP days (please don't): you take a look in the task manager and you see 200-300MB out of 512 or 1024 and you say it sound ok. Vista days: same custom software installed and you see 500 out of 512 or 900 out of 1024 and you say oh boy vista is soooo hungry. There's no way that all that ram is filled with cache so when you click firefox it loads in under a second (it does for me).
Same with ubuntu: i have (in the first 2 minutes since boot) ~1G out of 2G ram occupied. But i know it's preload and readahead trying to keep things smooth for me.
So those 100 megs are there to keep you from getting old while firefox loads from your 5400rpm slow-as-a-turtle laptop hdd
"Babality" ... oooooooaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

see? it's just a matter of perception.

whoosh
not if the train can go in hyperspace but they don't use it unless they have to.
seriously now: in japan trains can go blazingly fast but they usually don't ... until there is a "blockage in the system".
Seriously. Linux system runs 11 server, news at X.

Too bad my karma is so at the bottom of the ocean that i don't get any modpoints anymore...
Well, I'll tell you what's wrong.

i knew my friend, jack daniel, was wrong but i believed him anyway.
btw: do you know what else has push but no pop?
that's right: mothers
I think 'pop' is used extensively in this type of memory that doesn't need 'push':
http://www.scribd.com/doc/8189749/Signetics-Fully-Encoded-9046-x-N-Random-Access-WriteOnlyMemory
it was doing windows 95 ... or maybe windows 95 was doing my computer.
(i'm pretty sure the bus and soundcard had more influence back then)
unfortunately for you se7en only stands 256 cores
