Turbo from 1.73ghz to 3.06Ghz? Wow...that is impressive. i5 and i7 8xx for desktop don't have anything on this baby.
And it's a good solution to the age old problem of high performance lappies requiring a bunch of fans to cool, and their poor battery life.
Wonder what AMD has to counter that.
Hmm...looks like nvidia is finally hopping on the 10.1 train by committing their mobile lines to it...after all that they did to ATi.
now all I want is a laptop with one of these suckers to ship.
Hear, hear!
Last time I checked, Adobe Reader doesn't ask you about installing a plug-in to Firefox either.
Anyway,it seems like the.net plugin is not(fully, meaning without tweaks)compatible with Firefox 3.1 Beta 2,so for me(shame on me for using beta software in a production environment),the plugin's benefits are moot.
Yeah, the malaria DRIVES ME NUTS! Whoever thought of that should be forced to go on/b/ for 4 hours without closing their eyes.
At least the vehicles are more durable than in Far Cry/Crysis.
oh and did you know that there is a Hemi engine in every car in Far Cry 2?(try shooting off the hood) No wonder Chrysler is going broke, wasting their money on sponsorships that are rarely noticed.
Perhaps that's why the cars are so weak, so that the hood falls off so you can see the Hemi engine...
I blame RSS. I subscribe to music industry feeds in addition to/., and I thought it was plausible that Kurtzweil(the company) would predict lower sales or something like that for 2k9.
as Windows Mobile is getting IE6...no google for them?
(on that note I think WM is fine, but its hindered by all that old software a la font installer in Vista)
...its not like Americans will watch this instead of American Idol.
But I and everyone else who knows what is happening(ie all of/.) will want to see this and memeize it to death(that would be 4chan).
Nope. When you add the game via "My Games", you only enable the Steam overlay in the game and it tells people you are playing the game when they look at your Steam Friends status. For non steam games(even if there is the same game on Steam), the "My Games" way of adding games makes Steam merely a launcher with the benefit of using the overlay ingame.
Among other abuses, Securom makes sure that you have to have the CD installed while running the game, and this is simply stupid in the modern computer world.
If you mean disk in the drive, then no.
Newer SecuROM "secured" games like Spore and Mass Effect don't need the DVD in the drive in order for you to play.
The prosecution needs to save face.
Imagine if they suddenly said "whoopsies, we were looking for the wrong teacher". I would imagine some recall efforts would happen after that...
"Still Alive", "Skullcrusher Mountain", and "Livin' on the Corner of Dude and Catastrophe" for Rock Band.
heck,if "Still Alive" comes out for any of the new games (GH:WT I'm looking at you) then that's a strong reason to get said game:)
Fallout:New Vegas reference++

to sing Still Alive. Happy Birthday is too cliche. After all, Happy Birthday doesn't mention cake, which we all like!
is this story doing on /., a GEEK website. not a politics website last time I checked
(unless its about the politics of OSes)

nice Half-Life reference. looks like read TFA all the way through, the last slide has a Half-Life mention. all it needs is a turncoat administrator...
The ad below the story here on /. has an ad for a company selling R4s, which as mentioned, does not work on the DSi.
I can enjoy Flight Simulator X on 7. IE8 messes up the kneeboard, and while you don't need the kneeboard, it's a huge PITA to not be able to use it.
I thought geeks don't have anyone to give this to...mothers excluded.
1. Shorter yellow light. 2. ??? 3. PROFIT!

Yeah, I guess the jeep mentions are impossible to miss. Glad to hear I wasn't the only person who had a WTF moment with the cars.

ditto
Does the percent of consumed RAM you have for Vista exclude SuperFetche'd RAM?

darn my 17 inch 1920x1200 monitor, I had to take a triple take to see the ball.

have a Wii. or have their HDTV hooked up with Composite cables.
