Philosophy is a beautiful discipline. Now, I'm a recent B.Sc. Hons graduate in CS, but the arts are beautiful, and I would never slag one who chose that path. (though I might make fun of their workload)
The trick is to do well in school. Don't blame others - after all, if you work hard, get an A- average, and generally show that you know your stuff, you're going to get into grad school. I know I did. Maybe not MIT, Stanford, etc., but there are many good schools out there.
My suspicion however, is that we will eventually see all proprietary UNIX's fall to Linux, and while RedHat is the market leader today, there is still Slackware, and Debian is not going away any time soon.
True. And I hear SuSE is big in Europe. I don't know about that, living in Canada and all, but I did walk into Future Shop and buy a copy off the shelf, so that's certainly something.
I love Falcon's Eye, but it's completely broken. You can't win unless you play Minotaurs or Mermaids. Also, once someone gets more powerful than you, you're fucked, because he can beat you into the ground since there's no cap on net worths and such.

The question is not "Is Perl good for processing text?" The question is "do the conclusions follow validly from the premises." Given the premises, yes, it does. It says nothing of the real-world truth of the premises, only that we're taking them to be true in this particular argument.
"Look, babe, I put Gentoo on your computer!"
"WHAT?!? Where are my Sims?!?"
"Um...woops?"
I'm evil.
Not to mention dead.
laid = good.
Very few people actually need a cell phone. They're a distraction, they're a pain in the ass, and they're rude.
If you learn LaTeX, you can use the "pdflatex" command to create a PDF file from your source file(s).
I wrote my Old English and Old Icelandic papers in LaTeX, using Emacs, last year.
I feel young compared to you.
So ugly...can't...concentrate.
Bravo.
What were your letters of recommendation like?
Or did you have any? Good letters will go a very long way.

That really is an unfair comparison. Americans have far fewer koalas, and thus, cell phone penetration is much lower than in Australia.
Now Acacia is in the fight of its life and may even face a shareholder revolt
So, is that like an orgy?
In the long run
"In the long run, we're all dead"

that's right, because it's impossible for source compilations to ever go wrong.
idiot.
"They Live" is fantastic. And who can forget the three-note bass rift? Rowdy Roddy Piper? Ah, memories.
Third generation, baby.
My grandfather was writing psychological-disorder-diagnostic programs on IBM Big Iron in the late 50s/early 60s in FORTRAN and COBOL.
My father programmed in PL/I on IBM Iron, too.
My languages are C, Java, and Prolog.
Damn it, you beat me to it.
If that's so, then I've got a "wad" of "cash" for "them".
The Canadian Copyright Act already permits you this; it's in the section under fair use.
There are no ultimate truths we can appeal to when judging actions - we must look at the circumstances, and then come to a conclusion.

Bloody lupins!

A great idea, but badly implemented.
