    Of course it's not a good thing. But as I see it... only people that worry more about "looks" (some people like blue eyes, especially in asia) will bypass thousands and thousands of years of evolution in favor of "looking good", and nature has a way of dealing with stupidity.

    Tried filtering ? There's an option on facebook "I don't want to see this" or "Turn off notifications".
    Most of the things people have on their feeds or whatever that "home page" on facebook is called is garbage anyway posted by people you barely know.

    That way you gonna get relevant (to you) feed.

    Nobody I know is using G+.. and everybody I know is using facebook, in all age groups - including my whole family(between age 7 to 66) that I like keeping in touch with. Many people abandoned all other styles of communication (emails, IMs) and just use facebook and fb messenger. Until Google get's all those people to use G+ .. I for one am not interested, because the point is to 'connect' with people and G+ don't have any.

    So everybody can bitch about facebook as long as they want.. but the fact is, the whole damn world is using it - so it's obviously what people want. Google circles.. nobody was interested a year ago, and nobody is now.

    Fuck off all of you. I'm gonna live the way I want and I'm gonna die the way I want, and I don't need to facebook and save.org to tell me anything. Come to think of it.. even people close to me. It's MY life.

    These people seriously, just ruined technology for me. I hate it for good couple of years already and having less and less of it.

    If a person that I know die, I care no matter what the reason is. If you don't care when somebody you know dies cuz of drug abuse and you don't care only because of that, then you a def somebody I would never want to meet and know in life.

    Here in BKK where I live, millions upon millions of people are eating street food daily... and for 2 years already, from people I know... I never heard anybody dying or getting sick. What makes street food not healthy is sugar, MSG and other additives (but the amount of it pales in comparison to your big mac).

    In fact.. when I compare westerner(usually those big mac eating ones) and locals(street food ones you talking about)... it sickens me. Overweight fake food eating Americans and Europeans walking around it's easier to jump over them then it is to go pass them. Do you think that's healthy ?

    What makes McDonalds and other fast food chains and food in general, not healthy is like stated above.. number of additives/chemicals in it.

    Basically... you shouldn't trust anything other than 100 % natural and naturally grown product. Why I know ? Because I grew up without electricity in a war torn country. The food that I had available was 100 % organic grown by me, my neighbors and people from villages around my village. When you cut the tomato in half, your whole house smells of it. That is a tomato.. the thing you eating now if you live in any modern city, is not a tomato no matter what you may think. It's devoid of 80 % of what tomato should be. How or why I don't know. Maybe it's GMO, maybe it's been frozen 20 times .. no idea. I just know I haven't seen a tomato looong time and I miss it. As well as cheese, not that sliced shit you buy in 7/11 or wherever .. wrapped in plastic.

    For the record I eat fast food like McD too and sometimes I even drink coke.

    I was too. I vote for corruption. It's because whoever you give your money too (let's say speeding ticket .. so the money goes to gov) in a third world country (and others) it will end up for the most part being spent on criminal activity of some sort of the politicians in power.
    They use it to pay a cartel to assassinate somebody or burn his property, get new cars, buy a land for their sons, etc. Other part goes to IMF and similar criminal organizations.. etc.

    Corruption on a "traffic police level" is not a problem. Corruption of politicians (in reality, it's the mass public that allow this.. the rulling politicians are reflection of the people. I'm sorry.) is the problem. If you want to deal with a monster you cut his head off not his tail.

    So you see my dear Jamaican friend... foreigners are not a problem. Jamaican people are. Same as Serbian/Bosnian in my case.
    Foreigners didn't start that trend and they can't stop it. They can choose to "use it" or "not use it".

    But you just carry on and blame it on foreigners and people that choose to use it. Whatever makes you feel better.

    Is that why Windows and IIS got hacked all the time while Linux and Apache/PHP very rarely ? Because it had better security ?
    There was a project for Linux kernel that gives advanced ACL capabilities to Linux systems. I forgot the name of it now, but basically.. whatever was possible to do, you could do it. You don't seem to understand that Linux kernel is not finite like Windows is.
    There are hundreds of projects that you can add and use.. (stable, tested projects).

    The problem with security is an admin that thinks blocking port 22 is gonna keep him safe... if he uses Linux, and the other problem with security in general... is using Windows.
    The other problem with security is management hiring idiots (above mentioned jolly bunch, block port 22 and all ok) and/or outsourcing administration to cheap indian companies that work for peanuts.

    Engine damage ? Pull over safely ?

    I have an old car, it has engine temperature and oil low light. In fact, in my country everybody has old cars like that. Either car is going or not, if you want to damage the engine you can overheat it (but you can't, there's a temp meter on the dashboard) and still you won't damage it, you'll just make roughly $100-$200 usd damage, depending on what car you have. It'll stop itself since water will start mixing with fuel in the cylinders.

    Summary: On "current" down to the ground cars without too much computer bs in it, you just need oil light and temp meter. There's no need for anything else. Maybe your own intuition and knowledge of your car. Sound, behavior, etc.

    Pull over safely. No... I prefer to not pull over safely, rather i prefer to crash while puling over. What a f retarded message.

    I often hear people say this on slashdot. Americans about American government, whenever somebody mentions "a plot". This can be one of those plots.
    5 years ago, everybody would say it's impossible this conspiracy plot is happening because they're stupid morons who can't do sh.t, and I should go buy me self a tinfoil hat somewhere.

    What we heard in the last 5 months invalidates opinions of 90 % of people visiting this site. They're obviously efficient and capable at having plots and god only knows (maybe Snowden too) what they did/are doing and will continue to do in the future, but anybody who can think without getting his emotions involved, will naturally assume that whatever they're doing - is not good.

    Here's another conspiracy plot. Make Americans think they Government is not capable of doing anything so they (the Americans thinking like this) discredit and label everybody who figures out the truth.

    If it's not on the TV/Newspapers it's not happening mentality will ruin you. They are and were just tools for the same Gov that is doing this to all of us to misinform you and control what you know and not know.

    Thanks to the internet, blogs, mistake made by booze allen or whatever is the name of that company, we now getting more and more informed. While we getting more and more informed, we're also getting more and more disgusted which we weren't before... naturally. Since we didn't kknow any better, we just knew what they told us.

    I know i know... it's a plot again, but i don't expect any better from your, or any other Gov anyway.

    I'm a technical guy from age ... hm. 5 i think. Been in tech business long time, started professionally when i was 16. Like..work in a IT company doing coding and server management. 28 now.

    I'm not hating on nuclear tech. I'm hating on fukushima scenarios and then the world that is totally apathetic towards such scenarios. If the price to pay is to pollute this planet (our home btw) even further and more severe, then yeah.. we need to double think what and how we' doing stuff. Even if there's a remote chance of that happening. It's not about being irrational, it's about "hey... sh.t already happened, and we don''t know how to deal with it properly".

    When we learn how to contain it (and i don't mean pouring tons of radioactive water a day into ocean for 20 years or whatever as a proper method of containment) then sure. You can build a nuclear plant in every city and village as far as I'm concerned.

    We reached a point in our existence when we need to think how we use our knowledge and tech, not just blindly push forward without thinking about long term consequences. 200 years ago there was nothing we could do to harm our habitat. This is the first time in our existence (known) that we can seriously affect "life" in general, long term.
