You know, if you used the aquarium as part of your cpu cooling system, you can have pre-cooked fish for every meal! Very efficient, cost-effective, and downright healthy!
LilyPond prints beautiful sheet music. It produces music notation from a description file. It excels at typesetting classical music, but you can also print pop-songs. LilyPond input is plain text. So, you can use your favorite text editor to enter it, you can put it in mail or embed it in an article like this: \key c \minor r8 c16 b c8 g as c16 b c8 d | g,4 Or you can use it to print music from other programs, using one of the numerous input filters. LilyPond output looks beautiful. The font and the layout algorithms were inspired by engraved music, so you can expect that same clear and elegant look from your LilyPond output. And if anything is not to your liking, you can tweak almost everything. [Fink Packages (Stable)]
Extroverts think out loud while an introvert does it internally. Rather like the difference between an exoskeleton and an endoskeleton: same basic functionality, but the former is better off steamed with some garlic butter and a nice chilled wine.
The only thing worse than being a bot in a "literary-orientated", text-based multiuser role-playing game is to not be a bot in a "literary-orientated", text-based multiuser role-playing game.

Dude, I *emailed you* to confirm that story before I posted on MacSlash, and you confirmed it. Is there some other version of fair reporting you'd like?
In recent weeks, we've seen a concerted attack of FUD regarding open source in general but Linux in particular; all signs point to this being but the first in a series of new battles. I think it's been too easy for a lot of people to scoff at SCO's brazen and seemingly suicidal behavior, mistaking what is in fact a serious threat.
With that in mind, what are some ways you think open source/free software users and organizations can counter these attacks and, much more importantly, attack back?
For Mac OS X users, there is a version of Scribus (RC1 of 1.0, I believe.) in fink-unstable. Not the latest version (and not stable of course), but might be worth a look-see.
I think the same thing may very well go for the EA Sports NHL series as well. Off the top of my head:
2003: Jerome Iginla - awful 02-03 season (by his standards).
2002: Mario Lemieux - awful Penguins 02-03 season, plus injury-plagued.
2001: Owen Nolan - injury-plagued, trapped on also-ran Sharks for years. Unable to save Maple Leafs' during playoffs last year.
2000: Chris Pronger - out with injuries for most of 02-03.
1999: Eric Lindros - Concussion Boy; also, Lung Filling With Blood Boy.
1998: Peter Forsberg - Had to have spleen removed last year.
Strange game...the only winning move is not to play.....or GATTATTCCAATTACA.
Apart from the ongoing Curse, of course. ;)
Slashdot definitely needs a way for original posters to indicate that their posts are bullshit and return the karma to the pool.
Coincidentally, since the karma is already floating in the pool, the overall karma level won't rise if you "return" it to the pool.
Stop! You had me at "Uma Thurman as the female lead."

What can you do? Hack into their network and take the lying bastards down, that's what!
Funny you should ask, as this showed up in Fink Stable today:
lilypond 1.6.10-2 (GNU Music Typesetter)

That's the one where Bill Gates has a goatee and runs a company reknown for its innovation. ;)

Get in touch with the English Channel skydiver and set up a cross promotion: Skydiver Flies (and Flies Model Plane) Across Atlantic.
Q. Which reminds me of an old joke: what do you get when you cross the Titanic and the Atlantic Ocean?
A. About halfway.
Spare mare?
Fauxl
No, it's "My Little Clony"
You're new here, aren't you?
Really, that should have been "Your new here..."

Having your throat slit is nothing compared to what Klingons do to people who put smiley-faces in their text messages...
You're telling me! My emoticons used to have noses! Now look:
:(
Such a tragedy.

Yay! We can finally finish translating all of Shakespear into English.
;)
I'm pretty sure you can have your throat slit for saying "Yay!" near a Klingon. Do be careful.

I guess Ballmer's "Ich bin ein Bavarian Creme Pie" speech didn't go over so good with the Mayor. ;)
No shit. livegoats just made it to my foes list. What a moron.
;)
Let's see...User number over 600000 and no comments. Hey, it could be Jon Katz in disguise!
Well, it was Bill that said Leonard was the one, so he may have been lying to cover his own sins. ;)
Of course, Bill probably did a little too much LDS in the 60s.
They both suck! Next question?
