    What kind of car do you drive that has a clutch connected to the steering mechanism?

    Seriously, I doubt you can park easier with a stick over an automatic. If you wanted more control on an auto, all you have to do is slighly hold down on the brake and give it a little gas to fine tune the movement.

    If he has a ratings box on his system, then it will record that Taken was viewed by this user and thus increasing it's market penetration. At the same time, it was also being recorded by Tivo.

    Sometime later, he then proceeded to watch Taken on his Tivo, fast forwarding commercials, which most are just ads for Sci-fi channel shows and everyone is happy.

    - Cell phone
    - Keyboard
    - High speed internet access with flat rate data plan
    - Color screen
    - MP3 player
    - Memory expansion [ie Memory Stick, SD, etc]
    - Be able to clip to my belt

    We are so close. The Kyocera 7135 is almost there, but lacks a mini keyboard. The Treo 300 is close too, but lacks an MP3 player and memory expansion slot.

    I have been holding off on buying an MP3 player, one of those new phones that comes with games and even a snazzy new color pda. Unless I find everything all in one, I know it will just collect dust after the first month.

    Remarkably, nuclear detonations are not a good option, as they would break the asteroid into many pieces and merely increase our odds of being hit.

    If tomorrow's headline was "Football field size asteroid set to hit Earth in 3 days", you know that we would be hurling ever nuke we have at it.

    I remmeber the last computer tech thing I went to, similar to Comdex, absolutely sucked. People were walking around scurrying for free pens.

    In fact, Novell was there (remember them?), and they were giving away free umbrellas. You can't imagine how many idiots were waiting in a line that wrapped at least 10 rows for some stupid umbrella.

    Before some linux fanatic mods me down, look at
    this. In the "Web Browsers Used To Access Google" graph, IE clearly dominates everything else.

    This is from August, but I doubt anything has changed. Linux is only 1% of the OS used to access google. Even with it's own linux portal!

    I'm a big fan of linux. My websites use linux. My firewall is linux. My Tivo is linux! However, if you think that companies will try to build a web application that only 1% of population will ever see, then you're misinformed.

    Now let's see if I get modded down...

    basically hook up two wireless network cameras that would point to the street outside my house.

    They would run motion detection software that would basically write to a database when it detected movement. By measuring the time between the two motion captures and knowing the difference in length between the cameras, I could calculate how fast people drive by my house.

    By going to my homepage, you would see something like:
    Last car went by at: 07:05:30 am
    It was going 38.9mph. 3.9 over the speed limit!

    Anyways, until the price of wireless network cams come down, I guess it's just a thought.
