I don't think FFVII was that good and the series got much worse since then. I think the reason FFVII doesn't get remade nearly as much (if ever) as the FF games is because it doesn't age well at all. It's very much a game of its time. It's far too cinematic. That was cool when it was new but it's a bad thing now.

I'm not sure it's that. People can be just as stupid on their facebook page which identifies every aspect of their life. I think a lot of people still don't realise the internet is open to everyone. They're sitting in their room, they feel they're in a private area and, at most, they view it as just sitting arond and talking with friends.

It's the only sane answer I can come up with why people are willing to share so much and say such stupid things under their own name on a platform that never forgets. Because surely having the internet never forget you said something awful is worse than a quick punch to the face?

Because he did get all of season 5. The latest season is just as much season 6 as it is season 5B. It's called the final season and it's sold as a separate product everywhere. Even Amazon instant video (where it doesn't matter) puts them in their own group.

I wouldn't if I were them. It's a new season with an awkward name of "the final season" which was probably to avoid admitting to fans they ran out of ideas in season 5.

  9. You might want to to calculate out how much your average box set costs. The £18 they charge for breaking bad is significantly cheaper than most blu-ray box sets even if you factor in the lack of episodes.

  10. It is a seperate season - people are just babies on Apple Sued For Dividing Final Season of Breaking Bad Into Two On iTunes · · Score: 1

Everyone treats it as a separate product and it's not called Season 5 or 5B. Given that it's coming out in two months

Whether you buy in the physical format or digital, it's seperate on Amazon too.

That's because it's a separate product. You can blame the Vince for skirting the issue to avoid admitting he ran out of steam and couldn't give you a complete season 5. I do believe the internet turns the average person into a mouth breathing douche so I'm not surprised this is becoming more common.

I'm sure it does mess people up because its an awful thing. But again a lot of crimes hang with people. I know people that have had their home burgled and then they get funny about leaving home. But I wouldn't say that makes burglary off-limits and yes rape is far worse than burglary but it's not the worst thing. Personally I think it just comes down to if you're more likely to a victim. So like jokes involving WWII victims are more acceptable than 9/11 victim jokes. Which says to me people are simply selfish and only care about things that touch their lives and that's not a good enough basis for limiting speech.

Honest question here, why is being raped so much worse than being tortured, brutally beaten or murdered? We make fun of a lot of horrible things including the holocaust yet some people think rape is the ultimate and shouldn't be touched. I'd never wish rape on someone but it's not the murder and torture of millions in prison camps. You either give it all up or jokes about awful events are acceptable no matter which bad thing is used in the joke.

There are still distribution costs for the ebook. Do you think every time you get to re-download an ebook that's free or, in the case of amazon, whisper.net runs itself for free?

I can get a 8" x 11" 494 page hardback printed for £7.95 each at 500 copies. So even as someone without large order, my own facilities, etc could only wipe £7.95 off the cost of, for example, a £50 book. A standard paperback is more around £2.00 so for a £10.00 it's still not the bulk of the cost. It's not like an author just types up a book in Word and exports it as a PDF. There are people that have to read for spell checking and other thing things, at least one person to layout the book, someone to design the cover, and then all the little support roles within the publisher and maybe even for the author too.

Most authors don't see much money on a first edition because all those costs eat into the profits. In fact the cost to print the book would stay the same so the mere fact an author sees profit and would hope for a second edition would mean the cost of printing off the physical book isn't the big cost and I wouldn't expect to see more than 50% taken off the price for a new release.

Maybe for an old release but then again old books as e-books aren't exactly expensive either. I just looked on iTunes which is supposedly overpriced from allowing publishers to keep prices high and standard paperback titles that have been around for ages are anywhere from £0.99 to £5 which given the price of a sandwich or pint can easily be £3.00 hardly makes them overpriced.
