    My wife has a child care business. What happens is an inspector from your insurance company inspects your playground. He makes "recommendations" about removing equipment or increasing the mulch bed and such. If those "recommendations" are not implemented within 60 days your insurance will be canceled.

    Our local Montessori school actually wrapped their tree trunks in foam so the kids wouldn't get hurt if they ran into them. The kids adjusted by intentionally running into the trees to enjoy the bounce.

    No it wouldn't. The price of bread doubled when the value of dollars dropped by half. Ribeye steaks cost $12/lb at my grocery, 3 years ago they cost $6. You are supposing a gold based currency which is the opposite of what we have. 1 Oz of gold used to buy $800, now it buy $1600 thus the cost or value of the doller is now half what ti was 3 years ago. Good if you are paying back loans, bad if you had money in the bank. Irrelevant if you had gold.

    $1 saved from 2008 now equal to $0.50
    Inflation is bad, dollars are not a good store of value. They don't rot as fast as potatoes but almost.

    I get short clips that jump ahead after a few seconds. I tried to grab one using Download Helper but you have to be fast to grab the right one. Anybody here understand how this works well enough to suggest a solution?

    Are they just fudging the isp DNS servers or are they blocking IP addresses and and "backtracing" (sic) requests to those IPs? I really don't care if they want to censure the DNS of my ISP as long as I can continue to access any DNS I like.

    No, the only political solution they have is on-site dry cask storage. Reprocessing, vitrification,deep hardrock mine storage are all technically viable options. Actually, you could just mix it back into the mine tailing and put it back where it came from. You could shove it in a subduction trench or shoot it into the sun, but no one would actually be stupid enough to waste such a valuable resource. The reason spent fuel is dangerous is because it is energetic and that means it is vary valuable.

    Agilent looks like it is still as good as HP ever was. HP made great microcomputers but the modern PC can do everything they did, although maybe not as elegantly. Fiorina thought she had a printer company because thats all she could understand. Or were you morning the passing of the HP 3000? Wiki says it outlived the VAX, which should be some consolation. FWIW, I learned to write self modifying programs on a 300 running RMBasic. I moved my programs over to a Viper board when that came out.
