The US will not give up control of the GPS system to any entity as long as there are any distinct military advantages to be gained by having total control of the GPS system. And rightly so!
This brings up an interesting quandry for China if they decide to build GPS-guided smart bombs. Will the EU participation in Galileo subject them to a GPS blackout if they try to use said bombs on Taiwan? And if the EU does not implement such a blackout, would the EU be considered culpable?
The problem with the model is that as everyone moves to a pay-for-content model, you are dealing with a limited consumer resource: money....
I was under the impression that all commercial ventures have to "deal" with this limited consumer resource in one way or another.
The only exception of course is if the consumer in question is Mister Bill Gates.
Coincedence perhaps?

The news articles note that the Chairman and CEO of Key3 is named Fredric D. Rosen. You don't suppose there is any relation to our "favorite" leader of an obsolete industry organization: Hillary?
And afterwards some birds do worse things with the remains: Duck necrophilia
Why don't we just paint a big evil eye on the towers like they do on jet turbines?
That way all the birds are scared away and we will have hundreds of Sauron replicas all over the landscape.

Make that: Audiophiles have significantly higher levels of fecal material than the typical listener :-)
Unfortunately, fsck doesn't fix the filesystems for these crippled cds :-(
Try using the dump command instead.
It must be just me but I initially read it to say:
"Clearly, this Treo 600 has been designed to wow consumers looking for a phone/PDA/MP3 convergence device..."
I don't think there's any problem with saying that to your competitor.
Actually doing it and the means by which this is done is an altogether different matter.
How about WiFi-54? Or WiFi-G?
Finally! The next killer app. Where do I buy it?
I guess that would make it a 64-bit Commodore 64!
It can't be a coincidence that his kids' ages are all twin primes. Can it?
