My version of Windows is already ad supported. Why just now I am getting ads about how it is at risk, how I need a vacation and how to enlarge my "Starship":)
You don't count twice in that 100 million my friend. If you are getting your updates via the update server (as any good 1.5 user should be) you aren't counted. If you go to getfirefox.com and download from the same IP address as before, you don't count. I am sure there are some duplicates, but I highly doubt it is any kind of problem like you are wanting to make it out to be.
All it did for me was remind me that GAIM was still logging into that account I don't use. I only use ICQ and Google Talk now. Once I saw those I thought "Oh, I forgot to delete that account". The account is now deleted.
While there is Halo and Halo 2 support (they would have a lot of pissed users if there wasn't), there is no Project Gotham Racing 2 support. Part of me wonders if there is no support for it due to PGR3 being a launch title. Are there any other launch title sequals with no backwards compatiblity???
It wouldn't suprise me at all for Microsoft to do this for the money.
Don't forget that all your emulated Xbox games can now be ran at 720p or 1080i with full Anti-Aliasing as well. This could help a number of games look really nice.
Here are some shots of Halo and Halo 2 in 720p from Bungie. It does make a very nice difference.
They already have. It is called the Classic Series for the GBA. They make a lot of money there. They will also have all those games for free to download on the Revolution. So there is good money in it for them to hold that stuff as their own.
Cool, I have been using some of the XML files they import into their flash applets to track stats on my site.
WiTendoFi.com
Know of any good XML files with fun stats in them???
The DS is for kids? Man, I thought it was for people that wanted to play fun games. Looks like I should tell all my 20+ friends to get rid of their kiddie toy along with me!
Seriously though, when will this "Nintendo is the kidie!" sentiment just die. Nintendo makes games that are fun for ALL age groups. They also have third party support if you just have to have a game with a big "M" on it (Resident Evil 4 = one of the best games ever).
Well, sorta. CoreImage is for video effects in real time. Like window transitions, transpernecy, shadows, blah blah blah.
The idea behind using your GPU in this case is even more far reaching. While using a GPU for any visual effect is fairly logical...what about SETI@Home? What about Folding? What about for runing kalc:)
System Restore is already a nightmare when it comes to dealing virii. There are many out there that implant themself into System Restore at which point Norton/McAfee/Whomever isn't allowed to touch them. So...you remove the "active" version, then reboot and the System Restore version pops up and infects you all over again.
How about playing windowed video without it going fullscreen on my second display?

Why not build an XPI installer for the plugins? This is what Sun (Java) and Macromedia (Flash) do and it works very well.
There "download this, then hit refresh" method is a bit wonkey.

Thanks AOL.
This makes perfect sense to me. Why base the "value" of a page off something you hope is right rather than off the actualy browsing trends of people.

Amazon will now be suing you for reviewing his comment.

That should give you want you need. The DS uses 802.11 to access the net and play. Just need a Access Point you can use.
Also, the system is supposed to come with 512MB of flash memory for downloading content online.

Personally, I can't wait to play my kiddie Mario Kart DS and Animal Crossing online. Go back to watching Spider Man 2 on your UMD while I play some games.
Lower price, innovative controller, solid graphics, and great online. Looks like the Revolution is setting itself up to be great.
Can I say "irregard" then?
Will it come with a rootkit preinstalled?
And they would never install a rootkit on your computer either...
Kansas != Flat
Flint Hills area anyone?
How about near Codell Kansas? (8 miles from where I live)
Simply put, try driving around Western Kansas and I can show your some beautiful areas.

crap...I guess I can't pick too. That would require a low power Intel part based on this list of CPU's (Athlon 64 3000+ gets all three though).

See the difference?
Looks like KDE and Gnome have some time then.

Yeah...System Restore is really well designed.
