He is having a hard time cracking down. The army has said it doesn't intend to fire on Egyptians and some of the police are joining the protestors or are unwilling to fire. The remaining police haven't been shy about firing on people. The death toll is over 100 from most reports.
It is hard to raise the level of society if no one can hear you. Waiting for a full on slow news day might not be a great idea, releasing it during the first Monday during a revolt in a major US ally is probably an even worse one. Sometimes you have to use the flightly ADD nature of the news cycle to get the most attention for your point. Even tomorrow would probably be a better choice.
Even if they don't care about the bomber you would expect them to care about either their mission, the increased risk of detection, or at the very least the cost of the wasted supplies. Semtex isn't free.
This was arrivals, bad screening procedures weren't the issue this time. In all likelihood this will result in restrictions on who can enter the arrivals area.

Comics got targeted just as bad as movies and music and were very popular. The comic scares of the early 20th century damaged their popularity and hit a lot harder than people tend to remember. The Kefauver Juvenile Delinquency hearings basically are responsible for the Comics Code.
The way drug seizure laws are these days that isn't much a stretch. Only in this case it would be more like Narcotics Anonymous handling the ban. despite their ability to ruin lives and write laws the RIAA isn't a government agency, yet.
And what percentage of the wealth do they control? It doesn't matter what percentage of the population they are if they are being taxed more on greater sums of money.
Before everyone jumps to conclusions shouldn't we know how often these recommendations are followed. If the BOP usually ignores judges this is nothing. If they almost always go along with judges there might be a reason to be concerned.
If you want to know why people harp on FOX instead of CBS and Dan Rather there is a really simple explanation. When Dan Rather's whole mess came up he resigned and others were fired. When Olbermann made a donation to a candidate during a race he was suspended. When similar issues arise FOX does nothing. Are the other stations angelic arbiters of some perfect neutral truth, no, but they at least make an effort to keep up appearances.
If it stopped with the parents and their children maybe a callous Darwinian approach would be the way to go. It doesn't. Lower vaccination weaken herd immunity, putting those either unable to get the vaccine or for whom the vaccine was ineffective at greater risk. A larger host population also increases the chance for the virus to mutate in a way the decreases the effectiveness of the vaccine.
Perhaps, but considering philosophers don't agree on the morality of the Manhattan Project, we would still be debating. If it was the right course of action the time has passed.
For the first century or so you are right. After that the shortage of records on everyday life start to make you interesting again. I was recently given the task of trying to find out information about an early resident of my city. The biggest contribution this guy made was being one of the first barbers in the city. That minor role in history was enough to have a half dozen people researching every aspect of his life.
Did we ever hear of Rodney King? Why yes, he was beaten on camera and the cops were acquitted. All the private cameras in the world won't help you if society chooses to instinctively back authority.
The smell of decomposition is probably enough to get a warrant. It isn't even close to being something that gets rid of the need for a warrant. Exigent circumstances generally revolve around urgency. A decomposing body is in pretty limited danger. You never have to prove the smell isn't coming from your house they have to prove it is.
Similar enough, they have a bit more of a theatrical presentation.

Even if you only count the numbers that they extrapolate from, it is way too many.

We wouldn't have an awesome catapult story.
Then they'll add a line item compliance fee and still advertise the lower rate.
The Tamil Tigers were not only not a Muslim group, they slaughtered Muslims.
Russia might have had a bit of experience in Afghanistan that doesn't seem to support your view.

The fact that they seem to be pushing customers towards streaming seems to indicate it is the more profitable option.

He'll be able to "consult" with the antivaaccine crowd and probably maintain a nice standard of living.

It may only move at 42 MPH, but it does it from a high angle and only needs to swivel a camera to cover a pretty wide swath.
