A couple of lawyer buddies of mine tell me that they are coached in law school to take anything from the 9th Circuit Court with many grains of salt. That may be the most overturned legal entity on the planet.
So a foolish pervert is the chief judge. Huh. What do you know?
In China, this seems to work pretty well if you happen to be at the top of the government but the rest of the population seems to have a fairly rocky time of it.
Maybe but you would need at least eight monkeys at all times to help you run it.
Come to think of it, eight monkeys and an octopus suit sounds like the basis for a great party.
Not an MS fan but Excel is pretty danged good, IMO. It does some things that Open Office still doesn't seem to manage (text to columns - or if OO can handle this, I have yet to spot how).
Yeah - we have an "open office" thing here too. Frankly, the last thing I really want to do is 'run into each other and interact more frequently'. I want to sit in a dark, quiet spot somewhere where I can't see (and more importantly, hear) any coworkers so that I can do what I need to do.
I work with technology and prefer dark, quiet basements. Wide open office spaces frighten and confuse me.
Seriously - more privacy and quiet and less of this collaboration silliness. My ears are starting to take on the shape of my earphones.
... overlords. One must take a stand at some point.
Heh heh - you said "HUGE breach".
Lol CompuServe had one. It was laggy as heck and just not worth the time to mess with it. CB was much better. :-)
That was a sensible and intelligent commentary. My hat is off to you!
Fortunately I am in receipt of email at this very moment where a nice foreign man claims he can and will increase the size of my packet. Whew!
... your western computer systems frighten and confuse me.

I'm pretty sure the Soviet Union tried that experiment already with unsatisfactory results.
Finally, something I we can agree on.
... as per http://science.slashdot.org/article.pl?sid=08/05/29/1254259 and you're telling me we can have bionic, monkey-powered, wall climbing robots? Where do I sign up?

Oh great. Now Dan Rather is going to come back to do a word processing tutorial. :-\

Interesting. Government is less effective than private companies. Who would have guessed?
