I hope that the brighter pirates devise even more inventive ways to keep their privacy, perhaps that creativity will spill over into the more legal realm of the internet.
Cause they are giving people more excuses to give it more business. Who would possibly be stupid enough to use this service, when you can get a better computer with linux, or if they keep this up possibly pirated windows.
This is not a field I am really into, but I wish them the best of luck finding the dark matter. I wonder if dark matter to them is like a Ubuntu release to most of us?
Well I skimmed the tech section, nothing on copyright infringement. If Biden would admit he is the RIAA lackey, then they would get a true stress test.
I am a little curious that someone would make all of that information so readily available. Like many/.ers say, If it is on the net, it is vulnerable. Or something like that.
Good cause I don't want to alarm you but I have a suspicion that they are going to make Jar Jar Binks a playable character. No link, just a theory that LucasArts has had a steak driven through the good part of their brain.
They didn't pull it because of Queran copyright, they pulled it because of the lyrics. It is kinda like pulling virtually any rap song because as you are collecting bubbles in the background Big E is telling you the 10 crack commandments.
Well, usually we just bitch at them until they give us our neutralzors. And even though we piss all over our constitution we can still throw the 1st amendment in their face when they complain.
First off, MOST countries don't like us. That comes with distrust as well. By hacking into our stuff they learn of our plans/security layout. So lets look at this point by point. (1) There is a something called the internet.
(2) There are people who know how to store data made available on the internet.
(3) People know how to steal data from places where the internet is used.
(4) People are VERY good at #3.
(5) For every security tool we have put in, they have a tool that will get past it in time.
Now given all of that, how are we surprised people want/are trying to break into our databases?
Yes but then we have created a problem by removing 10,000,000,000 pirates from the market. Pirates need to eat too. Studies also show that 12/15 of those 750,000 are part-time ax-murderers. I think the statistics show the real victims here.
Normally they overdo security, now they are lacking in basic security that protects legitimate content creators. The question is how long until they fix it.
With a Cd you are paying for what you may of may not like. With iTunes, and other music software, you pay for what you want. As far as the Dvd, I believe that music should be DRM free, people will swap music anyway, because for every protection there is a way around it. Moreover with audio files, you can record the song over another medium so really all you are doing is driving potential customers over to the pirating side.
If it hijacks clicks IN browser, you just use alt-f4 to close it down, most people won't even have loaded the page by then. I don't understand how this is worse than malicious redirects. And since most websites people rely on use flash/scripts, I don't see the use in cutting scripts off.
Its like they expect me to say, what police department? I don't know any police, they don't exist, and if they did I can't tell you about it. Top secret and what not.
You can't seize a computer made of pancakes! Look at the new adds from Microsoft! I can download as many George Jones albums I want and just eat the evidence! I just hope windows Pancakes taste good as Ihop.
If someone were to shoot this company in the kneecaps, maybe their boss will be a little more careful about its practices hurting children. Especially if you shoot them with a shotgun like Michigan state lawyers!
If they are anything like me they got it before they heard about the DRM. I am sure that I will find a way around the nasty drm, How? I am not sure, I hate torrents, but I am sure I will find some nice little hack to get rid of the drm

I was referring to the story startup, I didn't think it was an actual event haha.
While I think this is awesome, isn't this how I Am Legend happened?
I find it humorous that all of the numbering for the xbox's indicate going in a circle!

Or if they want to be really sneaky just use a livecd to do whatever they want.
Your right, we need to help out the Canadian porn industry, and they will help us in return. We give them a voice, they tank the bill.
