    Wouldn't a web browser on a device which connects through your own proxy server work?
    With any decent desktop browser one can connect via proxy to a secure tunnel which you control.
    Does not seem to exist on cell/tablets due to greedy device SW vendor lockins - right?

    Hmpffff! The political system in the US is currently incapable of doing anything, not even talking about doing something desperately needed. It goes 1 step forward, two steps back. Just wait after the 2012 election what kind of square dance is happening then.

    Canada gets out of Kyoto because of their oil-sand dirty industry which became profitable due to high oil prices. The given reasons - other countries are not participating and high penalty payments are secondary.

    OK - The process is that the documents in question are sent by a medical care provider to the Medicare Australia Department of Human services.
    Anytime a human being is forced to something against his/her inner conviction/believe, steps against this force have be taken into account.
    If the force is caused by a governmental law and steps against it are taken, the law may be broken.

    In this Australian Childhood immunization campaign there seem to exists a procedure to get exempt and have no financial disadvantage (as previously posted):

    B - (info not mentioned) News sources (German Radio in particular) never mention that all information gathered (thousands - 60? of screen shots in the airport-laptop infection case) went through the hard coded IP address (207.158.22.134) of the trojan command center's US server(s). Maybe that's below people's event horizon?

    seems to be success pressure in high profile cases. Showing results is paramount over doing it right and just.

    Troy Davis being one recent example and Bruce Ivins may have been another casualty to this pressure, seeing the injustice and facing the witch-hunt could have driven him to suicide which makes it easy to label him guilty: SUCCESS!

    Trust to US justice system and other institutions (FBI, CIA, Police) is reduced more and more.

    Not at all... it just gets boring after a while. Reading the headline "ALL EYES ON APPLE" triggered it.
    Looks like crowd behavior what's happening there. Trying to find missing identity in following a hype/crowd and feel good for a while.
    Quite common.
