I half-heartedly await the day on which we can have a decent discussion about social issues without people being so vile.
Somehow I don't expect this will happen in my lifetime.
How would you phrase it then? "Value placed on the scientific method" would be what I'd go for, but it doesn't communicate the thought nearly as succinctly as "belief in science"
Believe it or not, some people do still buy and play board games. You almost always have to go to a solid game shop to get decent ones, but they exist.
I'm all for being a social animal, but every now and then I like to retreat to my own private world and enjoy a game crafted around the single player experience.
QFT.
Having a weekend long D&D session is a hell of a lot of fun, but sometimes you just want to be alone with your thoughts and a huge fire-breathing dragon.
If they're so locked down that the students can't do what they want with them, then no, they won't.
They will just teach the students to accept spoon-fed information and not to try to investigate anything for themselves.
But some will investigate anyway, leading to "If it weren't for those pesky kids...!" syndrome.
AppLocker WILL make it more difficult to run unauthorised apps, even if they're distributed/run via USB. It won't block things entirely but just like every security measure, it will make things more difficult, and that's all you should be able to expect. Give Microsoft some credit - I'd love to get a hold of one of these netbooks.
Credit for what? A false sense of security? AppLocker is next to useless. In reality, it can be easily bypassed. In addition to the fact (as pointed out so many times) that you can always install another OS and/or hack the BIOS.
You apparently don't know anything about me. Stop assuming.
And sarcasm requires tags except in really obvious instances. That post was not obvious. There were many other posters trolling marketing crap on here.
WebKit covers that mate. Those are things you do ON THE WEB PAGE. All the browser does is render the page. Flash or a MP plugin are part of that page, and separate from the browser.
But the holes! The lasers go right through them!

Just semantics, scientific notation isn't written with division but with negative exponents.
You mean 1 x 10^-4.
A statement like that could only be made at a physics conference.
Most of these ought to be +5 Funny.
No but I'm offering wood for your sheep!
I'll offer you one more than whatever he's offering!
Thankfully, there is +5 funny for posts like yours.

LittleBigPlanet
I fully support this sentiment.
I see what you did there. Wish I had mod points cuz I actually laughed when I read that.
lmao! Needs at least a 3 imo
I played the game and enjoyed it, but found the gameplay dragged badly once your weapons and powers outmatched your enemies.
A tasty quote from that article seems to confirm what others are posting about the difficulty being....missing.
Don Quixote is awesome, so of course it would be.

No, it's the #1 because it's cheap and well-supported. Most shops still run Windows XP.

The only unhackable computer is the one not connected to any outside network.
Wrong. Physical access.
Untrue! Ever heard of a screwdriver?

And so what if it has no CD drive? See here.
I know that, I have many things that depend on it too. But they could have made IE8 with a new engine, and then left IE6 on there for the old stuff.

Yep-they ran with code that sucks. Slow, buggy, and non-standards compliant.
Indeed it was senseless!
(Yes, I did notice your sarcasm, no flames)
