    You'd be surprised. Most of my users who stuck to the Windows standard there complained quite loudly on a daily basis about how slow it was.

    SAIC used encryption on all of their Windows laptops. There was a huge speed penalty in startup time and starting applications.

    Where did you go, Thomas Jefferson HS? When I went (MVHS) we were the last class to use MANUAL typewriters. No white out, we had to use typing erasers. Programming was taught in Algebra or this one programming business class.

    Of course, now my daughter is in Prince William County, and she has computer use as part of some of her classes. No programming, just basic word processing. We had to get her a USB key.

    Senator Mark Warner of Virginia proposed this yesterday. Of course, back in the 70s, that was the most economical speed for the 3 Speed automatics that everyone was driving. With the current technology, 65 works just as well.

    You gotta be kidding. Free weights + cardio + more protein -carbs makes your fat go away. I was like you, without the exercise. I was always chubby. I HAD a 40" waist. I'm down to 34", and you can see the top half of my abs.

    Read the fine article. Quoted from second article:

    "The extent of the intrusions on Capitol Hill, which officials said began in August 2006, was unclear, although Rep. Frank R. Wolf (R-Va.), whose office had four computers affected, said that other members of Congress were targeted, as well as at least one congressional committee. "They got everything," Wolf said at a news briefing, describing the attack on his office systems.

    Wolf said that after one of the attacks, a car with license plates belonging to Chinese officials went to the home of a Chinese dissident in the Washington suburbs and took photographs of it."

    I drive a taller vehicle so that I can see further down the road to avoid accidents. I take longer to slow down, so the douchebag tailgating me has plenty of time to slow down, too. And seeing how I've been driving for over 20 years with no accidents and no tickets, I think I'm a pretty good driver.

    With all the safety and emissions equipment that is now required on cars, like unibody construction, catalytic converters, etc., the average sedan weighs about the same as some of the older tanks that were around during the early 70s. My wife's 2005 Mercury Sable weighs the same as my old 1971 Ford Galaxy. And the Sable is significantly smaller than the Galaxy.
