    Well, if one is created (impossible at these energies according to the Standard Model), it would be destroyed almost immediately due to Hawking radiation.

    Even if it did survive, it would be incredibly small (about a Planck length, or 10E-20 times the size of a proton) and would take a long while to collect enough mater to start growing rapidly.

    The exploit you refer to requires 2 people coordinating efforts to level up a 3rd person.

    I fail to see how dual-boxing would give you any advantage over 3 people all on their own comps working together.

    And, I wasn't aware there was an abyss Eastern and Western MMOs. I was under the impression that WoW was incredibly popular in the far east as well as in Europe and the US. Do they play an uglier/prettier version in China?

    I believe the name of the organization is "Knights Templar". And, if the organization as a whole is suing (rather than each member suing in a class-action), then the correct sentance is "Knights Templar sues the Pope"

    The problem is that it unbalances the game.

    If everyone was taking steroids, you'd have to greatly extend the outfield so as to keep the game from becoming even more of a home run contest than it currently is. And, since steroids don't make you that much faster (as compared to how much further you can hit a ball), outfielders wouldn't be able to cover all that extra room, and batting averages would skyrocket.

    So, yeah, if everyone had steroids, no one has an advantage. But, the game they'd play wouldn't really be baseball any more.

    I mean, we're talking less than the distance from here to the sun (93 million miles).

    You are correct, it would only need to go as fast as the ISS for a moment. However, this is space we're talking about, and there's nothing to slow you down out there. Going that fast for a microsecond takes as much energy as going that fast for a century.

    And, unfortunately, the ISS would be going its fastest when it was close to Earth, and its slowest somewhere near the moon.

    Yes, disc scratching is still an issue. Microsoft, and most 3rd party devs, will replace a damaged disc for free.

    And, when a disc is scratched in this way, its very obvious. If you're buying a used game, just look at the disc before you buy it.

    (By the way, are you buying your games from a homeless guy? I mean, what store doesn't have a return policy?)

    And, don't forget that Blizzard promised Hero Classes by release, and in-game weather.

    Weather was added over a year later, and Hero Classes still aren't available.

    That being said, all of these small details are nothing compared to ripping out two-thirds of the capital cities and 4 classes.

    The most awesome chess computer of all time, the one that has analyzed every single possible game, and knows every ramification of every move ... you'll never be able to beat it. The best you'll be able to do is tie it with a similar computer.

    Well, that depends. If you're playing black, its conceivable that even if you always make the optimum move, you'll still lose.

    It may be that at the start of a game, white is already at "Mate in 456 moves"

    That's not an inherit problem with computers in classrooms. That's a problem with the school's IT department not properly limiting your net access from school owned computers.

    It's not just final test scores that matter. Despite what No Child Left Behind says, the purpose of school is not just to memorize a bunch of facts in order to do well on a test. School's purpose is to teach kids the skills they need in order to be successful in their adult life.

    And, I have a hard time seeing how being familiar with computers could be considered an unhelpful skill.

    And following your logic we should not be teaching math at all just how to use a calculator.. See how silly following logic can be!

    Its not that teaching math is outdated. Its that memorizing multiplication tables might be outdated.

    The main point of modern math class is how to translate real life problems into numerical equations. Once you can do that, solving those equations is rather trivial.

    Its not just common names. I have a very unique name (I think I'm actually the only one in the US). However, my last name is a verb, so googling me returns 2 million results totally unrelated to me that just have "firstname verb" in them.

    The summary seems to imply that they are creating embryos which combine genetic material from humans and pigs. The article, on the other hand, says that they are taking 100% human DNA and implanting them into pig egg cells which have had their DNA removed. I think it's safe to to say that there is a huge difference between the two ideas.

    That may be true. But, its much more exciting to talk about manpigs than to talk about the similarities between a pig egg cell and a human egg cell.

    But won't those people that are allowed to vote likely vote for policies and laws that make it increasingly difficult for none-voters to qualify? Afterall the more people you allow to vote the less your vote is worth.

    I don't think that's true. I mean, that was the system the US first started on, and we've slowly expanded the voting rights to include just about everyone (exception: minors and felons). Sometimes, people in power actually do the right thing and share that power.

    If a mugger knew I didn't have a weapon, he'd be happy to take my wallet and leave. If he thought I may have a gun, he might shoot me, then take my wallet and run.

    I'd much prefer not having an ability to defend myself than to risk getting shot.
