I am loathe to buying all things Apple. Hey, I like bright shiny things as much as the next crow but don't want the Apple Tax attached to it.
That being said, I take the subway in NY city to work each AM and when I see someone with a smart phone (usually a pretty young thing) I sit next to them and strike up a conversation by asking about their phone. EVERY damn one is an iPhone. These are the consumers. No one is interested in whether the software is open source, but they do like what it does and how it looks.
When Android is bright and shiny, let me know.
Hear, Hear. The early bird gets the worm indeed! Why is it that when some one gets a good idea and stands to make money from it the nay sayers gather together and say "I want a piece of the pie" without putting any effort into it.
I've got an Axim 51v with an ARM 624Mgh processor, running WM 5, WiFi G, Bluetooth, a VGA screen (albeit 4 inch) and a separate GPU. It fits in my pocket and I use it for reading e-books, rudimentary surfing and Word and it plays games quite well. I wouldn't mind something like this with a somewhat larger screen a little faster CPU. It wouldn't fit in my pocket of course, but that why god invented messenger bags. BTW, It's a few years old and has more processing speed and storage than quite a few of my older desktops.
A long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away...
When I was in university, if you were an engineering major, you had to learn German, because most of the major papers for reference were in that language. Further back from that (18th and 17th century Europe) the language of economics and diplomacy was French.
Ergo, when in Rome (or modern times) do as....
The games industry is surpassing the movie industry in profits. Games often cost $60 and above for price of admission. Blockbuster movies cost $100-200 million. Price of admission ~ $10 . Do you see a trend here?
If "Mudflats" has the right to free speech (and she does), doesn't Mike Doogan have the same right? Remember, the right to free speech covers someone saying something unpopular.

Buy a Ferrari, 5 lbs. of gold chains and unbutton your shirt down to your navel. That will counter your Wind 10 inch. It will make people thinks it's 17 inches or more.
I'm a pharmacist. Part of studying for a degree is that you have to have a preceptor (sort of an unpaid apprenticeship). I got to meet a lot of young, fresh faced pharmacy students. One year I had one that was 42 years old. He had been a cab driver for almost half his life and his brother-in-law talked him into pharmacy school with the same argument. Pharmacy is a six year course, and demand is very high and starting salary is also.
My opinion is shoot for the stars and you just might hit the moon
Back in the day, when pocket pc's were actually relevant, Dell was one of the leaders in form and function. I still use a Dell X51 as an e-book reader.
My Ph. D Thesis was based on an experiment I created.
I put a rock in a pickle jar and added water and various ionic salts.
The result was no life evolved from the mixture proving that it must have been started by a supreme being .
I want a Kindle, just not for $349. I'm looking for some kind of reduced price (not likely). I'm also looking forward to [http://www.plasticlogic.com/product.html]
Given the popularity of "Family Guy", "The Simpsons", and to a lesser degree "American Dad" and "King of the Hill" Fox would have to be mentally deficient to a very large degree NOT to bring "Futurama" back. Oh wait, they are.
What's all this then?
Hasn't anyone gotten over this shite?
Let everyone live the lifestyle they want.
Even though I'm not gay (not that there's anything wrong with that) I kind of respect the balls (or ovaries) required to state who and what you are when it is sometimes unpopular to do so.
O F**k No! Blade Runner has been one of my favorite films since it came out. I've watched it so many times I've lost count. It's almost like a Shakespearian play in that every time I watch it I find some small nuance. Some scenes are just golden; when Decker finds the origami of the swan on the floor is just one small example.
So, lease god no. Don't ruin the experience.
Must be wearing cargo pants

Are you afraid that Google is being influenced by reading "Fahrenheit 451"?

I think Enoch Root may have had something to do with it.

Now that I've finally bough all the accessories they cut my feet off.
On the other hand, I have a 1970 Hemi Cuda I'd could turn in for $4500. Bwaaahaaa
