    Ive never flown a modern sailplane with a VNE less than 135kt, several have been 140, and one 155.
    In recent times, special high VNE gliders have been made to fly records in the Andes, in some cases the record is higher than the original VNE.
    The Perlan 2 has a pressurised cockpit, and is designed for the necessary loads and speeds.
    Further, flying in wave is VERY smooth, no sensation of motion at all.
    Speed control will be an issue, as they will be in coffin corner at high altitude.

    In countries with a decent minimum wage, far higher than the US here, ($20/hr) we have low unemployment, so can you stop pretending that having a living wage does not create unemployment?

    Ok, hers a real simple point, we in Australia had good bank regulations, that prevented to behaviour that caused your economic meltdown not so long ago, and we even avoided recession.
    Surprisingly, complex industries that sail as close as possible to the edge of legality, need complex laws to control their behaviour.
    I'm constantly surprised at your need to have the bleeding obvious explained to you.

    I've got the 16. It's actually quite a good interface,with very good help, the manual is basically built in.
    It's been totally stable so far, no crashes at all, and works well with multiple iPads.
    10 aux all with extensive EQ, gates/comps every channel.
    Best of all it replaces 70kg of desk and FX with 3kg. And no multicore!
    It's not as user friendly as a nice big analog desk, however, setting up stuff ahead of time and saving it as a scene is a breeze.
    I've given to experienced sound guys with no training and theyve all been able to work it out on the night of the gig.

    In terms of interfaces, there are a lot of small digital mixers around now that work great. I do all my live recording with a QSC Touchmix
    great pres, and 32 bit wav tracking direct to USB drive, then import to DAW.

    A sailplane can lose 30% or more performance in increased drag from bugs on the leading edges.
