When they realize that there is no such thing as an "entry-level" person with "2 years of experience", they'll look at the rest of the pile.

Except that over the last few years, they HAVEN'T been moving on to the rest of the pile. You can Google it and find plenty of professors at top business schools railing on companies for demanding insanely overqualified people due to the economy (which is perfectly understandable that they would try to get a more qualified person for the same salary, given the job market) but when they don't find the person with three masters degrees, two PhD's and 40 years of experience willing to work for $35,000, they're just refusing to hire anyone and keep reposting the positing hoping that they'll find that one unicorn. It's like a mental illness where they're so focused on "We can get a better employee for less money!" that they cannot acknowledge that perfectly qualified candidates exist to fill the position but will not meet their absurd requirements for a "dream employee".

It doesn't need to be made public, but there damn sure needs to be a committee of non-government employees who monitors the video / evaluates all complaints against the police.

I should preface this with the fact that I buy lots of media (movies, tv shows, books, and video games). How exactly is pirating something I don't find worth paying for going to cause people to lose money? I used to buy plenty of music when I was younger, but these days I just don't find much that interests me and I primarily listen to my old music that I ripped to mp3's years ago. Since I don't find any reason to buy say the new Lonely Island cd (my life is of equal quality with it or without it), how are they losing anything if I chose to download it? I don't find it worth my money, thus if piracy is not an option I won't buy it and if piracy is an option and I choose to download it, they're still getting zero income from me.

Actually, I've found that the problem with LCD screens only happens when reading on a low resolution screen. I used to have an Archos 101 Turbo G9 tablet with a fairly average resolution and didn't like reading on it much. Once I got a Galaxy S4 at 1920x1080 and later one of the new Nexus 7's at 1920x1200 resolution, I no longer have any problem reading on a phone / tablet for extended periods of time. In fact, I usually read a few hours a day (in a row) on my tablet now.

I look at the facts. I can't help he's always played bad characters who are angry and love to shout. It has nothing to do with the "type" of role, it's how the character is portrayed. Alan Rickman may have played many villains, but they were all quite different and unique. That's because Alan Rickman is a fantastic actor. I've yet to see any variation in the personality of Capaldi's characters - which is what I clearly stated from the very beginning. THAT is why I'm disappointed in Capaldi - because his previous work does not show any talent at portraying different characters, he merely portrays the same character saying different lines in different locations.

If they wanted a 50-something year old Scottish man, they should have chosen Robert Carlyle - he's proven himself to be capable of a range of emotions and personalities.

When someone is always "acting" the same character in every role, I don't view it as acting, I view it as it being their real personality and they merely recite lines that are written. As much as I love Zooey Deschanel, she's not a great actress - she's always the exact same character just saying different lines. Peter Capaldi seems to be the same from everything I've seen him in. Sorry, but I don't want a Doctor that is just a grumpy old guy screaming and cussing at everyone without any heart or emotion other than anger. Sure, it might be funny for a scene or two, but after that it's just destroying the show.
