    Strange... No "conspiracy haters" idiots writting on this topic yet? Ok, the blacklist is to disable use of GPS and related API... But I do not like too much, because if Apple can do this, who will stop then for blacklisting other software like "jailbreak" and any non-apple (but desired by user) software?

    And this price is on your contry. On Brazil, I will get a blu-ray player only paying ~$1760 (I are not kidding)! In reais (currency from Brazil) is ~R$3000. (price on EUA + insane import tax + "premium price" because is a "premium device" here)

    The very basic problem is: If you need a "option X" on OSS program, but you don't know how to make yourself this option? 80% of OSS users doesn't know how to write code, they just needs to use the software.

    Another important detail: This method is usable only for protect medium to large files. The idea is use a really big "key", but if the protected file is too small will be easy to break the coding.

    Uhh... I forgot to say. The "key file" is anything, not just binaries. In my case, is a 1MB text file with random generated characters (not a real readable text, but is possible to use one for masking), but is possible to use a large bitmap, MP3 music, etc. Is a simple XOR between the file you want to protect and the "key", but you need the correct key (and all of her) to recover a readable protected file. And the most important detail, you don't store the protected file and the key file on the same pc :)

    I will not say anything about possibilities here without my anti-conspiracy-haters-shield online (needs a lot of power), but is really strange for a benchmark (supposed to be neutral) Well, I do not really expect neutrality for a benchmark with sponsorship (or partnership?) from hardware makers like nVidia.

    On Brazil we haved a simmilar case. One notebook stolen from Petrobras (brazilian petroleum company) with data from new oil discoverys, recovered after some days. Sometime later, the 4Â fleet on yor back? I guess is not a coincidence :)

    I not a american... Is difficult to translate my own language (Brazilian portuguese, a complex language) to english, and google translator is horrible to this job.

    Maybe is a good idea to Slashdot put the country of user on comments, not only nickname.

    you do not understood? You really not a scientist

    Is too easy to create many "citations" and put then on article to say "Hey, this is true because have citations!", I can say "my citation is from is the holy bible!" :)

    But, a thing you can explain to others "how to test yourselves and conclude this is true" is a different matter and do not need a [insert your favorite VIP here] to say "is true", you only need to test yourself

    ... is very simple: I do not go on cinema to see one film on - at most - VCD quality (cinema quality on my city is a big issue), and I don't like to use a full-bloatware winDVD or Cyberlink to view a "original" DVD (use only Media Player Classic, but he can't open original CSS-protected DVDs)

    obs: sorry the bad english, is difficult to translate brazilian to english into a way you can understood my idea
