    "By default the legacy 8bit code paths are still used, but a curious user can turn on the use of GEGL for the color operations with Colors / Use GEGL." Non destructive image manipulation is what many people need for raw image processing in HDR photography! GIMP will not be a toy for adding frames to family pictures anymore. Use more GEGL and no need for photoshop, opensource rules.

    This is another demo http://www.ece.utah.edu/commlab/Movie.wmv In this demo the occupied frequencies are detected by spectrum sensing, in realtime the system chooses an appropriate band for transmission.

    It is actually more, you frequency hop and frequency aggregate. In addition, you change the rate and even communications protocol altogether.

    Interoperability in cognitive radio means heterogeneous radios (like between firefighters, cops, ...) should work together. How about a cognitive node that translates every message sent by heterogeneous first responders. The radio detects the presence of other radios (energy detection or feature detection) and talks to them in their spec (frequency, protocol, ...). BTW, software radio is a platform for implementation (of say cognitive radio, ...)

    Try a company from your country with a base in the US. something like BMW or Mitsubishi or Lufthansa or ... Many European countries (like Germany) have special deals with US when it comes to working abroad.

    BTW, none of the terrorists in 9/11 were from Iran. They were from UAE, Pakistan and some other US allies (!!!) in the region. Most of these countries are very rich, and their citizens are not bothered in the airports for obvious reasons. This is all a big scam to further terrorize American public and make benefit, another 4B$ for the big brother. God bless America. I hope religious freaks do not collapse the new Rome once again.

    Anybody who really wants the mailing list can put the email coming from it in the contact list. The mailing list should have an easy unsubscribe method, so that user do not mark the email as spam.

    I was talking about the 3.0 beta version that came as default with Ubuntu Hardy. I am so happy they decided to keep the good ol usability intact :)
