I've read it and section 5 wich grants infogrammes rights to publish MY work without MY concent is illegal in MY country which happens to be Infogramme's country too.
I would have thought that agreeing to the EULA would be giving concent. Am I wrong?
While hard to find, the UNIX binaries for Real Player are still available (including Linux). If you want to contaminate your system with non-free software (like me) then use the link above.
Does slashdot run ads? Oh, there's a banner ad on this page. I must spend way to much time on the web, I don't run filtering software, my brain filters banner ads for me.
I'd venture that as many people have Winamp as have RealPlayer, especially as RealPlayer gets crappier and crappier.
In the above for "people" read "geeks". I doubt that many Joe Average have WinAmp installed, Windows Media player comes with Windows so a lot of people will just use that.
That's an idea though, I wonder if Nullsoft might consider producing a browser plugin wrapper around WinAmp
You know, I've been seeing that coloured scroll bar thing more and more lately. The New Yorker even has it. I must be missing something, but what is the purpose? How does this enhance my experience?
It makes your webbrowser fit in with the theme of the page... and probably clash horribly with your desktop.
One that consumes, especially one that acquires goods or services for direct use or ownership rather than for resale or use in production and manufacturing.

The consumers are the people who use the product, the term customer isn't really apropriate as Smoothwall users haven't paid for the product.
Realizing that I didn't know anybody lame enough to send me anything in all caps, I opened it anyway. Well, to no surprise, it was porn, in HTML format, with some 300k of blinky, flashy, seizure-inducing images.
I never recieve ANY useful email in HTML format. I don't get much of it, so I just use a text only email client and delete HTML formatted mail, but if it became a problem I would set up a procmail filter to elimate it.
Lets hope that this is an indicator that Code Red isn't going to happen again.
Or maybe not, holes are bound to be found in Apache, and the same Admins who didn't install the IIS fix and have since moved to Linux will probably fail to install the update for Apache.
Lets hope that apt-get becomes standard on more distros.
Designed? The Epic level rules are published
If they are including 2.4.19 are they going to publish their time travel method under an open documentation license?
Do you think the Bowie machine has the power to keep a snowball frozen in Hell?
Another screenshot
Unless the code is Perl ;)
A little like photo #1 (The message if you can't read it is the NT 'At least one service failed to initilise on startup'

Becuase a third party can write plugins for popular browsers. How about you add native jpeg 2000 support to IE?
No doubt it will become native in future browsers, but initially its a plugin thing.
heh
I don't even accept popups (except from my bank)
I'm trying to find something to replace my Smoothwall instalation.
How does FBsd rate when it comes to ISDN?
Will it run OK on a Pentium 90 with 16MB of RAM?

Or rather: everyone gets CVS, but unless you are the man you can look but not touch.
Amazing! A flash intro that is so oversized I have to scroll to see the "skip" link.
The Trolls won't once my Acid Arrows have dealt with them.

I enjoyed it enough to get the complete (if it can be called that) series on VHS.
There were some dire episodes (ok, quite a few) but a few gems were in there too.
Does it have an uninstaller too?
How about unstable, testing, and stable? And give them code names taken from characters from a popular film.
(Upgrading became so much easier when I moved over to Debian Unstable)
Well being hardware I doubt that you can run it on Linux...
...
... although I supposed (in theory) somebody might be able to write an emulator for it that runs under Linux
... and it won't be too long before someone has ported Linux to it - afterall you can get Linux for other devices that come with PalmOS.
I use an Intellimouse Explorer (I don't use anything written by Microsoft at home EXCEPT my mouse!) and I've had no tracking problems with it.
And lacking a ball means any gunk just rubs off.
(I should point out that my model is the one advertised at having 33% better resolution or some such)
