Maybe you could ask them how they now view the Kyoto accord seeing the massive destruction in Florida. This seems to be part of the concequences of warming up the world.
I've been to Europe a couple of times in a number of countries. There is no question that Europe is a great place to visit, but there's no way I would ever live there. They have absolutely no concept of freedom.
Where i live in Norway our goverment is a coalition of Liberals, Christian Democrats and Høyre (Right). Høyre is dominant, but this is not your normal right-wing party. Their slogan is "Frihet under ansvar", which means freedom with the responsibilities that come with that. It's a individualistic party which puts the single person in center. Christian Democrats are almost the same, but with a christian touch:) (They still allow female gay priests and the like). Our finance minister is gay too. Abortion is legal as long as you do it before 12 weeks. The upper limit for jail is 21 years and 10 years watch.
I'd say we have pretty much freedom here. And now drug legalization is on the agenda.
Say I want to play a video game. Some games, like Counterstrike and Q3, I could play online for years. Some games I finish in a week or two and then un-install. Those games I would rent.
At a local video store here you can actually rent games:)
CD's and all..

Norway is also part of the Schengen agreement:)
In an old norse poem you have a verse which sais:
Uklok mann
mellom andre folk,
for ham er det tryggest og tie;
ingen vet
at han ingenting kan
holder han tungen i tømme
Roughly translated it means:
Unwise man between other people, for him it's safest to keep silent;
noone knows that he does not know anything if he can heep his mouth shut. (Thungue in check).
There are a lot of old stuff like that written all over the world. It's still very applicable:)
I'm sitting on a laptop running XFree86 4.1.0 with ATI RAGE Pro MOBILITY. It works great:)
And i think there is some work going on in the dri section (3d work with utah-glx). Anyway, i don't use 3d apps on my laptop so this is not a problem:)
I saw something on the news some weeks about a couple of germans beeing executed in the US, and they told the germans like 1 week after they were executed. Can't quite remember when it was, but it's not even a year.
I saw a small shot about him on Discovery some time ago, and i noticed that there was a Microsoft banner next to the rocket.
Let's not hope his craft is pushed to "release" as fast as Windows =)

how does the RIAA get a norwegian kid arrested for decss? how does a french court prevent yahoo.com from auctioning off nazi memorabilia?
His case has actually been dismissed by the court. So there is no more RIAA cloud hanging over him:)
Why on earth do courts (yes, I know it is not in court yet, I am just proving that I am psychic;-) even bother to hear cases based on this crap?
In normal countries in Europe the judges would just laugh if anyone brough up cases like DeCSS and this one (and all the claims for money. e.g. the macdonald and hot coffee case):)
I wander what happpens when amd and intel gives out a 64 bit chip each. Will windows be out for each processors?
If not one of them is surly gonna beat the crap out of the other and we suddenly have monopoly on CPU's again.
I know at least that if they're not compatible i'll go for Intel as a standard.
Does anyone have any info regaring this issue?
Well, I've heard a story about a guy approaced by an undercover officer at a party and asked if he had some ${ILLEGAL_DRUG}
If the police buys drugs from you in Norway, the stuff they take is not legal so you can't get charged for it. It's because they say that the police is causeing the crime to happen. I.E. if the police was not there no crime would have taken place.
Consider this... US bans all production of hardware that omits copyright. But that is only in the US.. Won't Japan/Europe get a profound advantage in making hardware since they are not under such serious restraints? (I.E. It is not legal to make the hardware you want). You can apply this to software as well. I think that the US Goverment is getting very restrictive... It is NOT a free country anymore IMO.
I want a gmail account! :)
Anyone know when they will move it out of beta?

Wouldnt it be better to use a Quattro card or something that supports more displays on one card? Seems to be a waste of to use one for each.

Didn't eBoook use ROT-13? How can that use a key?
Or does it rotate by a certain key?

Shouldn't it be "Who is General Failure, and why is he reading drive C?"
He was not convicted due to "lack of evidence", and he is now working in a software company in the south of Norway :)

Kodak PhotoCD Image. Hmm.. a image format that
can execute arbitary core

How can PhotoCD Images execute malicious code?

I think it's very odd to have a image file format
on that list.

Just say no to
