OCZ does not manufacture Ultra 2 thermal compound in house, it is provided by a foreign manufacturer with our specifications. Previous independent lab tests conducted at the request of OCZ have shown that the silver compound content in Ultra 2 is 25% by volume and 70% by weight.
That OCZ don't seem to do continuous QA on their products makes me question the value of their "brand". However, considering their dubious history (allegations of selling overclocked remarked memory, "golden samples" being sent to reviewers), this comes as no surprise.
There are plenty of other more trustworthy sellers of memory and thermal paste that I can send my money to.

I make action figures, hotwheels toys, props, models, and costumes for a living. So, much like a plumber that advertises on his panel van, my car shows what I do. And you'd better believe no one forgets it- I get a lot of business from being "that dude with the car".
If you have Microsoft Proxy Server or some other NTLM proxy at work or wherever, take a good hard look at 1.6. It's the first Mozilla version to have a built-in NTLM solution.
It's been available in Windows builds for quite a while (since at least 1.4). The key difference is that the new method is cross-platform.
Just curious, who uses the suite instead of Firebird/Thunderbird... and why?
I use the browser, mail and irc client on a regular basis. Tried Firebird and didn't like the separate search bar and simplified preference dialog. And as the suite does what I want, there's no reason to look for workarounds.
What's so good about it? I've never seen an episode, so would someone care to enlighten me?
It's a sci-fi show that isn't. It doesn't feature grand space battles or bumpy headed aliens of the week. Instead it has great dialogue, character development, a tight-knit cast, and *gasp* continuity. Contrast this with Star Trek.

The only thing that keeps people stuck on Windows is their attitudes.
Hate to burst your bubble, but some people don't have a choice. My current client is still using Windows NT, as THEIR client still uses it. Why haven't they upgraded/migrated? "Legacy" (i.e. ten year old) applications and cost - both software and manpower. They're more interested in getting their jobs done than playing with the newest skinnable MP3 player.
That's less than US$29K. While one of the job requirements may be unique, it would be amusing to see how long a heterosexual male would last working there.
Not everyone wants/has time to setup a separate box to handle their routing chores. The intended audience of Belkins crappy little "feature" certainly don't.

Insightful? Another fine example of slashdot moderating...
The patent has implications for ALL browsers. If Eolas thought they could extract money from the Mozilla foundation, you can be sure their lawyers would advising them to take such action.
If they have that much time on their hands, I have some important stuff they can work on... sheeesh

By becoming public, google loses the ability to continue with constant steady growth and innovative R&D. These things will invariably lead to short sighted planning by the management to "make the numbers" for the next quarter, 6 months, or year.
How exactly does providing Google with massive amounts of capital take away their ability to innovate? Xerox were a publically listed company for many years, yet they (or rather PARC) still managed to produce many useful innovations.
Depending on the way they structure the deal, the founders can retain a controlling share (not necessarily >50%) of the company, thus making them less beholden to the financial markets. It would then be up to potential shareholders to decide whether they wanted to buy into such a company.
Does AOL really intend on being Mozilla's major financer for much longer
Perhaps you missed this announcement? There was also a slashdot story. I won't rehash the arguments made in that thread for Mozillas post-AOL survival, but a few other corporations continue to make hefty contributions in both manpower and cash to Mozilla.
Tech-Report did a review of various RAID controllers last year.
In addition, VIA's KT600 provides Serial-ATA RAID 1 (mirroring) capability through the southbridge. There are also a large number of nforce2 boards that use Silicon Images Sil 3112A controller.
Regardless of which measurement is used, that same report showed that AMD's market share is much lower than in Q3 2001. While its nice that their situation seems to have stabilised, what counts is whether X86-64 takes off. If it doesn't, they're screwed.
Surely the "first-person sneaker" subgenre isn't already going the way of the dodo!
I don't think it has - look at the success of Splinter Cell. Also, Thief3 and Deus Ex2 look to be the big upcoming games on that front. XIII also looks like it'll have lots of sneaking around.
Personally I can't play regular all-action FPS anymore. Carefully implemented stealth gameplay gives me the goosebumps far more effectively than run and gun action.
You mean they didn't follow the party line and actually had the temerity to question what was going on? Wow, who would've thought it - an attempt at actual journalism.
Reading the story, it seems Telefonica agreed with them as they no longer carry CyberAngels traffic.
