I have run several keyboards through the bathtub. As long as you rinse thoroughly give it enough time to dry, I don't think that the dishwasher thing would be all that bad.
It will have an effect on us big bore shooters as well.
Namely, I'll be able to get full capacity magazines for less than $100 again.

Preventing gun makers from building these guns obviously makes it tougher for people to get them, which is a Good Thing -- nobody has a legitimate reason for owning a 30 round clip.
You don't get to decide whether or not my reason is legitimate. I own several 30 round magazines. The only reason I need is "because I want to"
But the GOP are all a bunch of whores to the NRA.....
And who is the NRA?
Over 3 million taxpaying American voters. Drawing the ire of 3 million people who are about 95% likely to vote is smarter than trying to curry favor with 10 million people who are only about 30% likely to vote.
I am not currently an NRA member. After we took control of congress in 1995, I didn't feel that the need was as dire; but I'm glad that the NRA is out there.
Thanks, I'll remember that next time I'm gripped with the strange urge to vote for a Republican candidate (like I would have McCain in 2000).
McCain is a RINO. Republican In Name Only. Political reality in his state was such that if he wanted to get into congress, he'd have to do so as a Republican. Regardless of what he believed.
The effort to get him as the Republican Candidate in 2000 was about trying to get there to be no difference between our guy and the Democrats'.
So what happens to the people who make up their own minds about the individual issues and happen to disagree with the parties on a few points?
Political parties exist to advance agendas. If you are not on board with the party agenda you have two choices, keep quiet and stay with the party or start another party with its own agenda.
So you really think your personal beliefs about abortion and gun control are determined by your party affiliation?
They ARE parts of the party platforms.
Look at the congressional record. Votes on those two issues are split according to party lines. There are a few members on both sides that cross over for each issue but over 90% remain loyal to the party.
If parties don't have principles, the parties become social clubs and lose all meaning.
This is such a joke. It's not like the Democrats or Republicans really differ enough on important issues to matter!
Maybe not in the issues that are important to YOU.
I'm a Republican. I am pro life. I am pro second amendment.
I couldn't have a relationship with a woman who would abort my child if she got pregnant. I couldn't be with a woman who is troubled by my gun collection.
These issues may not mean much to you, but they would be a deal breaker when it comes to romance.
Most politicians just want to ride it out for a few more months. None of the really devisive issues are coming up for a vote now. The new OT rules will probably piss off just as many people as they will make happy. For every one who loses OT, someone else is going to gain OT.
Yes. id (quake, doom, etc) and I believe unreal both use it. Both are competitors, and as small of importance as portability to other operating systems such as Linux may seem to be, it is still somewhat important to them (although, I -still- haven't heard anything new about doom3 on linux)
Unreal used Glide and software only. There was no true "Open GL" option for Unreal. Unreal Tournament/2003/II may use it, I'm not sure. But the the original did not.
All of those people who we see here wishing that the 3.5" floppy would finally die will now be bemoaning the fact that there is no easy/convienent way to transport data between work and home.
If they are, then hell -- get two wireless NIC cards and put one in AP mode. Semantics all your own.
Or use as many wireless NICs are you want and set them up in Ad-Hoc mode. Since it's essentially Peer To Peer, there is no AP and the University can go pound salt.
There is nothing in the GPL that prevents you from charging for your files.
The GPLed version of Q2 does not include textures, wads, maps, etc... Give away the engine for free under the GPL and charge for your content. After all of this time, I'm not sure how good your sales are going to be.

I don't wear underwear, you insensitive clod.

Not needed. I'm in Pennsylvania. If you kill an intruder in your home, the police will thank you before calling the coroner.

Do you have a browser that allows you to read invisible text? He never said that he considered suing.
LK
Sure, we could have sued, but I wouldn't blame them.
Over not getting pizza delivered in the afternoon?! You sure are an American, alright.
You knew he's an American because he didn't sue?

I have binoculars, a shotgun and a .45.

Simple, because Slashdot is a site that is American in origin and most of the people who read it are Americans.
Even we get bored with minute by minute updates of the politics, but the overall issues are important.

The US Code defines the militia to include all able bodied males between the ages of 17 and 35.

It's not having it both ways. Using patents to squash innovation is bad. Using patents to keep people from getting rich by bullying others is good.

Use the spectrum all you want, they are prohibiting a device, just like they can prohibit hotplates.
Hotplates are a fire hazard. There are insurance regulations to think about in the case of hotplates. Not so with Wireless APs.
