    Yes. Giving devs admin/root is one of the classic blunders of all time. I worked with one that wrangled root from the Boss. Soon, we had test data files all over the production file system, because there wasn't enough room in the test environment to replicate all the production data. The Boss is no longer the Boss.

    I look forward to Freefall, Ma3, SSDD, Devilbear, and GPF. Kevin and Kell is a regular, as is xkcd, Shortpacked, and Wapsi Square. I still like Funny Farm, even though it's in a rerun. I'm too lazy to put in links, but most of them are already in this thread somewhere.

    Wait. If the driverless car is so damn great, how did it let itself get into a situation where the only options are to hit the bus or drive off a bridge? I can make that kind of mistake on my own, thanks. I expect automated cars to avoid this kind of situation, else why bother having them?
