How the impact of tax will affect purchases? Since people might be reluctant to pay extra money for taxes (especially in this economy), will they then be discouraged to buy online, or will it be insignificant enough to not care? How about paying taxes and shipping?
Then they would probably have to put in a sub-system to verify the first. Like gait-recognition, or similar. Something the same software could process without human interaction. Then that probably would have a 1% fail rate.
I think this is a terrible way to go. Its not my fault that I have a certain condition that could potentially stop me from getting heath insurance. Wasn't there something like this a while back about getting your DNA mapped for potential conditions, and that insurance corporations could use that data like this article suggests? If this goes through, we are going to start seeing "Selective breeding" again so we all can afford heathcare. Then again, we are all going to die one day, so why have heath care in the first place?
..for all of his reviews are extremely entertaining, if not informitave. He is unbiased in most of his comments, taking the good with bad in most respects.
I dont see how this would ever work. Wouldn't there be privacy issues with this, seeing it would be web based? Also since it is web-based, if the storage device(s) that are holding the OS crashes, what would happen to those people using it? I think a OS on your base computer is the best way to go, that way you can tweak it to your liking and do whatever the hell you want.
I think that walkthroughs, or gameplay videos do not necessarily show creative expression. Your watching a video on how to do something. The equivalent is reading a do-it-yourself book. I can see why Vimeo can take on the same view. The posters are not taking the game and throwing their own twist on it, just simply posting a copy of it.
Now that the devil's advocate is gone..
Personally i agree with what other people have been saying. Posting walkthroughs and similar could bring about legal issues in the future. In a way, they are promoting creative expression with more intensity seeing you will be watching "videos with a twist" more than other stuff.
Well, if its liquor it is definitely not a "fine" grade, probably opposite. If its cheese, then it probably is going to be one of the more foul smelling ones. I personally think its the aging process where we get rotten tomatoes.
I am waiting for the day when the general consumer can buy a bunch these panels and use them efficiently. Also I think that when something like this picks up, it should become a standard for home builders. With the markets the way they are noways, getting a little energy bill break wouldn't be half bad...
So say for instance that a person who acquires this PI license, while working on a computer that has been given to him to fix because it crashed or similar, finds "illegal" material. Does this new license grant him the ability to report the material, even though that was not his first intent? Does it fall under "unreasonable search and seizure" without a warrant?
Although I agree that seeing hockey teams full of robots would be somewhat exciting (only to see them go up in sparks by a hard hit), I have to say that i personally would enjoy watching the sport with human players. Robots can not think for themselves (well, not yet anyway), so you would not see strategy that can change due to the changes on the field, or see some really great shots that only a human could pull off.
What is funny is that one of his main points is open information. Even on his site the "Vote against the FISA" group is the largest with a ton of people part of that group. Some change he wants to make.
...is how you guys want to play. Fine whatever. Except you better be looking over your shoulders constantly. This is not the end. It is only the beginning.
So that what was causing the issue. I spend almost an hour trying to figure out what went wrong. Funny thing is she suggested it was ZA. Uninstalled and got net back online. I demand a refund for my wasted hour!
I really think this is the best way to go. It allows 2 things to happen.
1. People really would have a say in what they want from the government by limiting people they don't agree with. Ex. Congressmen who voted for the telco immunity would receive a high # of 4's and 5's from the gaming and internet fan base.
2. It also lets the congressmen that he is doing well/screwing up. Maybe give him a chance to fix it? Also it allows some "government control" to be monitored by the public as a whole. Isn't that what democracy means?
...I want to be in it!
A great quote comes to mind: "If something is made idiot proof, someone will make a better idiot!" No matter how hard they "want" piracy gone, the other side seems to have a stronger "want."
You think they would understand by now that all they are doing are hurting themselves. On day (soon im hoping) everyone will rise up against these atrocities and fight back for what is rightfully ours!

Now that you mentioned it, they are going to be commin' a knocking at your door any minute now.

Hey what do you know, one of my favorite places online!

Does this mean he can appeal to a higher court to try to get it turned around? Thats not a pleasing thought.

They would make the best goalies. Although assuming both goalies can block 100% of shots, it would become an indefinite stalemate.
