    as long as you abandon your support for the changed parts of the software.

    yes, you can get a developer access - but SAP don't sells a off-the-shelf-product but services. you should KNOW what you do before you request a developer key

    why is this modded as "funny"? I lost ~ 20 years of my life with roll-outs of SAP R/3 in hospitals...

    [but I have to admit, the software is impressive. only the human kind is not sophisticated enough to handle this monster]

    RHEL 6 (and the coming CentOS) will be build on Fedora 11 - the next 2-3 years should be easy going with CentOS on newer hardware.

    but generally I prefer some bleeding edge distro on my private hardware - I was with my post before only half-joking and parts of the comment are serious: It is exciting and valuable tohave the possability to use the newest developments in a real-life environment before the stuff is included in stable production-ready products.

    imo one of the most important advantages of OSS

    out of curiosity I just googled for German schools in Cairo and found one with a price list on the homepage (DEO): Egyptians pay 15329.00EGP/year (~ 2.7k US$)

    I wasn't expecting a factor of four between your example and the one I found. Do you know the average price for a foreign education in Egypt?

    this is imo not a valid argument.

    most of the amortised nuclear power plants have a profit of around 200 to 300 million EUR per year.

    but - I found no good sources for the hidden costs: development of the technology, waste treatment, maybe more cancer cases around the plant (okay, this is not a valid point either as the correlation nuclear plant and more cancer in the region was never proven), deconstruction after closing, etc

    take my words with a grain of salt, my comment is only a first shot without any substantial data to support my opinion...

    no, this is normal and happens often. I don't seeked for examples but one can read every time about EU commission actions againt member states for breaching/not implementing EU directives.

    a famous one was a few years ago against Greece and Italy (not 100% sure, just google it if you're interested :P) because of the state debt (Maastricht Treaty was imo the legal base for this sueing)
