  1. Yeah you can even do video passthrough and use 7 inside a hypervisor like a regular desktop. From what I've read there is a slight performance hit so gaming would not be the optimal use.

  5. There is a good Defcon talk about this. The software keeps track with a database file and you can edit the file on your phone and override any no fly settings.

    You can pay young people way less and work them to death because they don't know any better. Try that with someone in their 40s and they will say piss off and get a job elsewhere.

    Do modern CPUs even have writable microcode? I know IBM systems in the 1970s and 1980s had microcode that loaded from floppies at boot.

    So you're going to install a few gigs of ram and a 1tb drive and call it a day? This is for data centers or render farms. They're going to have racks full of drives. What do you think a SAN array costs?

    If this chip was so overpriced then nobody would be buying them. If you need that much performance in a single CPU then $13K is trivial relative to the rest of the costs.

    Does AMD have an equivalent to Intel's $13,000 CPU? Even if they did who cares what they charge? Are you upset that a Ferrari costs 10x the price of a Honda?

    Because Firefox became Chrome Junior with their interface and stopped making the browser better. Every release had some new feature that no one asked for. A paper airplane button for sharing links with friends? Until they make something faster and less bloated I'm staying with Chrome. Apparently no one at Mozilla is old enough to remember the bloat that was IE4.
