I think you'll find Obama is FAR less liberal than fox news would have you believe. In fact, I'd go so far as to say he is GW Bush, in his 3rd term... The corporate run media and news has perfected their ability to sway the 'minds' of the American voter. As long as the people get their (dis)information from the mass media, the people will lose and the big money will win.
Uh. The US barely 'won' against a FAR inferior Iraq, and is losing badly against a stone age country. I'm pretty sure Iran would do just fine, especially seeing as how they have control of 100% of the straits of Hormuz.

In a world where personal interaction between people is becoming less and less common, we may be seeing more of these 'crucial guides and studies' to social interaction... Assuming civilization continues as it is; which is not a very smart assumption, IMHO.
We used to have a lot of fun with these in high school. We would put them under the bleachers during high school football games.

What becomes of this tragedy in the gulf will be a great way for everyone to finally realize just how fascist our system of government has become; that is if it goes the way many of us believe it will, a slap on the wrist to BP. Of course I could be wrong. Some judges and prosecutors might actually acquire some balls and give BP what they truly deserve. I will not be satisfied by anything less than: 1. 10+ year prison terms for at least ALL senior BP executives, 2. the dissolution of ALL of BP/auctioning of all assets and seizure/redistribution of all available BP funds. Basically, get completely rid of the entire company for good.
I think most of the doomers/end of world/armageddon types, would be happy to see this drop in empathy; it helps reinforce their silly ideas about 'the end times'.
Now if they can find a cure for flesh eating bacteria, they'll be able to cure 8 people a year, instead of just 5...
Seriously, work on a disease that is actually a threat, guys...
