  3. Ease of use on Why I Steal Movies (Even Ones I'm In) · · Score: 1

I pirate because its easier. The setup is harder but once you have the automated processes in place, its actually even easier than downloading something from iTunes.

Setup the proper RSS feeds from Vuze with filters for the shows you want. Autodownload them when they show up. When complete, move them to the watch folder of my conversion program. Conversion program converts, moves the completed file to the watch folder on my server that then moves it to the correct directory on my storage system. This all happens in a completely automated manner now.

The beauty of this is, with my dvd player (Momitsu V880n) and swisscenter running on the server, I can just page through all the content as it appears on my server.

Now I haven't found a legal solution that lets me do all this. Lastly... when I download an avi from these rss feeds, the show starts immediately. No waiting through retarded previews.

  4. Cross platform integration on Apple Is Nintendo's "Enemy of the Future" · · Score: 1

what Nintedo needs to do is develop games that go across platforms. That you can play different elements of the game on the go, from a browser or at home. The Home version would be the fully functional one, but you should have mobile elements to the game too.

If Nintendo can create a gaming ecosystem, they'll have no fears from apple. Ultimately gaming is also a media industry where content is king... and Nintendo is the king of gaming content.

  5. Re:Patent trolling should be outlawed on Apple vs. Nokia vs. Google vs. HTC · · Score: 1

I disagree, The lone inventor has put significant time, energy and probably own funds into developing the patent. If he intends to license it that would also be considered future development. The important factor of the lone inventor is that he developed the technology he patented.

A patent troll buys a patent for the sole purpose of holding it for license or for litigation. The major difference being the troll didn't do any of the development work themselves.

I would suggest outlawing the patent trolls who's only contribution to a patent is a financial one (through buying a patent or only providing fiscal assets to an inventor)

  11. Iceland's Revenge on Iceland Volcano's Ash Grounds European Air Travel · · Score: 0

For thousands of years, Icelanders worshiped giant mechanical penguins that lived in volcanoes. These penguins demanded sacrifice. First virgins, then whales, and eventually the penguins gained a taste for Euros. So Icelanders setup IceSave and the dupes from the UK and Netherlands started putting all their money in Iceland's banks.

Icelanders then took that money and tossed it in the volcano. All looks great but then the credit crisis strikes and the English and Dutch savers lose their money. They demand all that money back from Iceland to the tune of 13k per Icelandic citizen. Of course the Icelanders don't have this money and are outraged that they're asked to cover the greed of the English and Dutch so they sacrifice another virgin make the volcano blow up to prevent air travel

This keeps the European collection agencies away and prevent them from stealing all their remaining whales and virgins.

    That's what happened.

Entertaining aren't you. Asset-flipping has pretty much been exhausted with the average investment hold times of hedge funds rising to 5 years. This is a direct response to the lack of low hanging fruit.

Where I get my data from is hard research completed in the last year by Harvard Business School Review, McKinsey Quarterly, and The Boston Consulting group etc.

You asked a CPA? An accountant? Are you kidding me? Ask a CFA, MBA, CAIA and their kind, preferably one who works in a hedge fund.

Or better yet stop using expletives to illustrate your heavy dependence on others' educations instead of your own. Get an MBA, and get your CFA and then you can tell me about what you "know".

  13. Re:It's been a while, but... on Hedge Fund Offers $2 Billion For Novell · · Score: 0

At this point, hedge funds are unable to flip companies for a quick profit. Cash rich does not mean capital asset rich that they can sell off and leverage the company to a decent debt/equity ration. So I would guess that a hedge fund that is already a major shareholder and has been for several years is certainly in this for a 5-7 year stretch while they buy up a few other companies, merge them, and probably re-list the new enterprise.

but then again, who am I. I just do this for a living.
