Like interns as slave labour? I can see it now... "here, honey! Remember all those chores I never do, like cleaning the garage, organizing the attic, and massaging your feet? I got you an Intern! The best part is, he's free! He gets school credit for all of this!"
My database professor gave us the run down of the technologies that the NIH databases employ- its some impressive business! Researchers all over the world are indexing and adding papers... SCREW amazon!
If everything goes right, its easier to have a machine count it- they are usually much better and less error prone than humans (thus, the improvement over pen/pencil).
But if they are just as prone to hacking as humans are ("count this in favor of John Steed or your family gets hurt!") , then there is no advantage.
It comes down to convenience vs. auditability. I don't trust people not to cheat. I want that auditability.
After this, I'll give Firebird a try. I absolutely HATED mozilla- I downloaded it a month ago and after 3 websites went back to using CrazyBrowser as an IE front end (blocks pop ups, tabbed browsing).
I understand that from a purely tactical point of view, splitting your resources is very dangerous when they are thin to begin with.
However, open source isn't about tactics; its power comes from zealotry. And there is nothing that fires a persons mind up more than a little competition. There are plenty of anecdotes of people being told "You can't do this." and then rising to the occaision just to prove them wrong.
I like your version much better! Both, in terms of its correctness (it isn't a definite integral!) and in terms of its message (sex is more than just fun...)
Potential control question: they figure, a buncha people have prolly experimented, and its not like they are asking "do you take it up the poop chute from big burly men?" so they expect you to lie, and say "uhm, uh, NO! Never!", which they then use to judge the responses to the "have you ever tried to over throw the government? Do you transport drugs? "
actually, no. Someone else posted it first, but Got Apex has some FRESH deals...

Okay, so I sign up, I get a credit card with a balance of $299? No, wait, they want a 12 month paid commitment (p.s.- HERE is a link to the fine details...) so thats a credit card with $585.80 balance on it?
So what happens if I pay it off in one shot? (I understand that I am in the minority. I have a card that gives me air miles- I put EVERYTHING on that card, and always pay off my monthly balance. Yes, I went to Hawai'i two years in a row.)
Just to bring this to reality for you geeks out there, Some info on the embedded OS word.
;)
See? It all comes back to Linux!
for anything that is primarily used in the summer

Thats what sucks, I think my favorite boards in my area were WWIV, and I guess I wasn't 31337 enough for the wildcat ones!
When I was zmodeming, there was no such thing as windows 95, nor kermit 95. (and I'm not that old!)
I think I'm one of the few who actually liked WWIV... ahhh the memories.
Its not that sexy. Unless you find large cotton bloomers on a rotund woman/man to be sexy...
Whats funny, is that the post Right After yours answers that very question!
Those Pac Bell's broke years ago, dude! And A door stop is a door stop; no need to replace OS!
Ditto and ditto.
P166 running Win89se. I use it for VPN'ing to work. It works. Why change?!

wash your mouth out for saying "vrusk", and go to your room until you forget the words Yazirian, Dralasite, and especially SATHAR!
Sell 'em short! Make a killing in the market!
IN reality, SCO will produce something, no matter how B.S. it is.
But it'd be super cool for them to produce nothing and have the judge fine them, and then KICK THEM IN THE NUTS. Yeah, that'd be sweet.
Yeah, a friend of mine in high school calc came up with an equation where he set the integral of e^x equal to the Function u sub n.
Which basically looked like:
Se^x = F(un)
not that a high school calc geek could actually prove that...
It sets a comparison point.
If you like Honor Harrington, you will most definitely ignore the reviewer, and you may even enjoy this book!
THis is actually a genius reference point.
