    If everything goes right, its easier to have a machine count it- they are usually much better and less error prone than humans (thus, the improvement over pen/pencil).

    But if they are just as prone to hacking as humans are ("count this in favor of John Steed or your family gets hurt!") , then there is no advantage.

    It comes down to convenience vs. auditability. I don't trust people not to cheat. I want that auditability.

    After this, I'll give Firebird a try. I absolutely HATED mozilla- I downloaded it a month ago and after 3 websites went back to using CrazyBrowser as an IE front end (blocks pop ups, tabbed browsing).

    I understand that from a purely tactical point of view, splitting your resources is very dangerous when they are thin to begin with.

    However, open source isn't about tactics; its power comes from zealotry. And there is nothing that fires a persons mind up more than a little competition. There are plenty of anecdotes of people being told "You can't do this." and then rising to the occaision just to prove them wrong.

    Yeah, a friend of mine in high school calc came up with an equation where he set the integral of e^x equal to the Function u sub n.

    Which basically looked like:
    Se^x = F(un)

    not that a high school calc geek could actually prove that...

    so they expect you to lie, and say "uhm, uh, NO! Never!", which they then use to judge the responses to the "have you ever tried to over throw the government? Do you transport drugs? "

    Okay, so I sign up, I get a credit card with a balance of $299? No, wait, they want a 12 month paid commitment (p.s.- HERE is a link to the fine details...)
    so thats a credit card with $585.80 balance on it?

    So what happens if I pay it off in one shot? (I understand that I am in the minority. I have a card that gives me air miles- I put EVERYTHING on that card, and always pay off my monthly balance. Yes, I went to Hawai'i two years in a row.)
