I think the best way to deal with these buffoons is to point and laugh. I live in the south and regularly see christian flags flying with confederate ones. The only time I had an opportunity to comment on this to one of these 'people', I pointed out that the message it sends to me is that they are christian losers. Lets face it the confederates lost so it is the loser flag. As a result now they have replaced the confederate flag with a american one. So at least now they are proclaiming to be a christian american. Sort of a step up. The more people try to interfere with their ability to spread their garbage the more likely in some future time the ones doing this will have their opinion stifled by someone who doesn't support their outlook either. Its like the court case where that business refused to make a cake for a same sex couple. The ones who supported their right to do that are now upset its being used to refuse services to these blow hard fake conservatives in charge.

This never fails to bring a smile to my face.

Calling bullshit. The cost of a mini dslam is lower than ever. The problem is that they will not spend money in advance of demand. I've been a sysadmin for a ISP for 11 years and before that worked at two others. I have to say we offer speeds in excess of anything the local telco does. Since their phone product is now voip they have no advantage over us at all. Their highest speed is slower than our lowest. They tell people around here the opposite. They will never be punished for it. If they didn't deceive people they couldn't make a sell. The local telco has been given around 100million in the past five years and have spent virtually nothing on infrastructure. If it wasn't for the welfare they receive I wouldn't care how shitty they are. Give us 10 million and we would hook up double our current subscriber list.
Speed is reality and we sell what we advertise.

  18. Oh and most would know what a collage is.

    collage

    noun

    the art of making collages.
a combination or collection of various things.

  20. My daughter got a full ride scholarship four years ago. The first year cost of very little since all of her food was paid. The next year they changed the food plans that caused her to be short toward the end of the year. Last year I started putting fifty a week in to her bank account so she would be able to eat when she could, due to the collage shutting down several of their little kiosk food nooks. This year they are replacing all of those with food trucks and her vouchers don't add up to three meals a day for the duration of her last year.
Added into that, she has been audited for three years in a row despite the last two times they found nothing wrong. All the while insisting its 'random'. She is still lucky in that she had the grades to get through collage without a crushing debt at the end.

This situation is attributed to a new chancellor who immediately spent five million on renovating his house and then doing more renovations the next year. He also wants to get a football team going. Its clear that collages do better without them. The quality of the students who are there to learn is superior to the meat heads they will get with football around.
